without pads on, I would agree.

With pads on, the advantage is minimal if the DE is staying within realistic pass rushing lanes.

Agree about Rodgers. I will still welcome him if he chooses us, but that video did not make him look very good. Griffian didn't look great either, but he definitely looked a lot better than Rodgers in the video.

I thought Griffin looked good. He basically was just bull rushing his opponent and not trying any swim or spin moves. If you watch him you will see he pushes his man back every time which tells me he knows how to get great leverage. Keep in mind he is a DT not a DE such as Lawson. Said a long time ago he was not a DE in any system. Rogers looks athletic but he needs to live in the weight room.

I didn't mean to seem like I thought he looked bad, just not great. He was handled pretty well at certain moments and had decent success at others. Like I said, I didn't mean he looked bad.

Yeah all you really need DT's to do is get a push or clog up running lanes. Not a big deal if they don't possess swim or spin moves to get to the passer.

My thoughts exactly. Ira looked really good too on keeping his arms tucked and pushing the defender up, limiting them from getting leverage. Na'ty was too slow off the snap and couldn't hold his own at times. And Lawson looked extremely quick.

I am watching the game on tv right now and Griffin caught my eye. When I saw him running after the QB scrambling, I was like please tell me that #94 is Griffin because he is fast! Two plays later I saw Griffin on the back of his jersey - YES!
