English was going to be part of the 2 Deep at DE. Rainey will probably already move to LB. I don't think we move English as well.

And I agree, our pass rushing package of English-Sutton-Hill-Clowney is going to be awful for opposing offenses.

It coudld happen if he was unable to gain weight for whatever reason, but seems like lawing likes him a whole lot and he's been pretty good at putting out DEs. One could argue cliff matthews was never better than as a true frosh when he had to play some backer for us.

My prediction is that Sutton will start and put up great numbers (barring injury) and be a high second round to late first rounder. Putting hill in front of him is about like guys putting Clowney in front of ingram.

He is 235 now and looks to be about 6'8. Hopefully he will be about 255 by August. He is faster than any of of the lineman and linebackers we had on the roster this year. He also appears to be very agile so it is a possibility he could play LB. His height is what concerns me.

Devin Taylor was very good player for us but the only English has in common is similar frame and height. English is a very close to Clowney athletically. He has a lot of raw talent in a growing body. I also heard Ward call him a very intelligent player.

I watched a scrimmage where D English ran down a RB (Wilds I believe) from across the field - with his speed and quickness, he'll be tough to stop around the edge. But he'll need to get bigger to go inside and/or bull rush.

English and Sutton are both too small to be SDE and Clowney is staying at WDE. I think we use Sutton like we did Ingram his senior year, as an inside pass rusher. English is going to have to wait I think. I think we can move Quarles outside when Sutton comes in.

I also watched English run down Wilds. I had no idea he was that fast. The weight gain should make him a lot more explosive. We certainly have the most talented Dline next year. I see atleast 6 high draft defensive players on the team next year(Clowney, English, Sutton, Hill, Quarles, and Griffin).
On another note Mason Harris(very talented) kid would be a good linebacker but I doubt Lawing will give him up. Marquise Roberts will more than likely move to Mike.

You're correct, I aqree that Devin wasn't as great this year as I expected for a senior his size.

He did very well vs the run, but he should have had a 1st round type year.. Overshadowed by Clowney

I'm not going to say English can't play LB because we don't know what he is capable of at LB. As far as who will be starting next year opposite of Clowney, I think it will be up in the air. Sutton is talented and had a pretty good year. English is a great player as well that is very athletic, I think he will give coach Lawing something to consider. Then that Alfy kid has gained 40 pounds in the last 2 years which put him at what 275. Sound like a good DT. This race is between English and Sutton.
