Jacquese Carson Baseball potential

Jacquese "Shon" Carson is ready to play baseball this year, really looking forward to seeing what this young man from the PEE DEE can do at Carolina Stadium!

Once the Football Team has won the bowl game (hopefully), then Bruce can head to the Basketball team and Shon can head to the Baseball team.
I see good things ahead for both these young men! Shon will get some carries in the bowl game, and may just be good enough to fight for a starting spot
in the outfield. Just tells you how talented Shon is!

Bruce and Shon are some rare athletes indeed! Glad to have them at USC! Hopefully they can reach their FULL potential at USC!

Nobody I know calls him that, you hear it through school but everyone has always called him Shon.

If they make the roster. I fully expect Carson and Christian to make it. I haven't heard as much about Smith but I do believe he was drafted by a MLB team out of HS.

Shon and Ahmad are expected to make it. I wouldn't be shocked if Kwinton tries out too as he has big time potential as a pitcher. But he is going to be assuming a big role on the football team next year so that may steer him to football practice this Spring. Whereas Shon and Ahmad are guys that we could, for lack of a better phrase, let go.

Kwinton was the highest drafted of the 3 (well ahead of them in fact, although in different drafts) but I thought I heard that he wasn't playing baseball at USC, was going to focus on football.

Kwinton was supposed to start throwing right after the bowl game, last time I talked with him, he was still planning on trying baseball

Thanks, I was hesitant to say highly drafted because I couldn't remember how high correctly.

Kwinton was drafted in the 14th round. Jamie Callahan, Erich Knabb, Kwinton Smith, and Wes Rogers were the only high school draftees last year.
