![]() Williams, Wiggins, and Rodgers will give us a nice little boost in final rankings. Assuming we get all 3.

![]() Remember next year we have our scholarships cut so it may be a bit interesting with numbers. But I absolutely expect a top 10 class at this point with how we are looking early on. Could be even better than that depending on how it all shakes out.

![]() Take a look at their class and then look at ours.
Would you trade them? If not, try not to panic.

I'm actually pretty excited about this class - I know we lost a couple guys that were committed to us but, for the most part, it seems like our staff got who we wanted at each position...and using recent history to grade their evaluation capability, that makes me very excited. |

![]() Pharoh, Hill, and Bryant are the ones I think could play in the 2 Deep as of right now.

![]() Same here, OL is a critical need and I am so glad we seem to have raked in some quality guys there.
Obviously happy about Williams, glad things worked out with Ronnie Martin and I just think it's cool to have a player named Pharoh. |

![]() Well, we could return to Fat Brad style recruiting...aim mostly for the positions that draw the most attention and praise, instead of meeting our needs. Remember how well that worked?
We are getting more talent and more depth each year. We will never recruit nationwide or have the pull of a Bama, Florida, ND, Southern Cal, nor the population of others. NC is on of the fastest growing states in the nation and Georgia will soon be the 8th most populous state in the nation. Nothing we can do about it and I am glad the flow from up North is slower in our state. Keep us Southern in culture as long as possible. As for the recruiting budget? IF SOS or our other coaches asked for more, I tend to believe they would get it PDQ. It would not change our areas we concentrate on in recruiting, nor the message we give the recruits, or the school, city, and state we sell.

![]() Take it for what it is worth, but I go to Porter Ridge High School in Indian Trail, NC, the same place Matt Wogan attends. Matt has a full ride to Oregon as a kicker, after being recruited by many schools all over the country as most recruiting followers know. But, word going around is he is not too pleased with Chip Kellys possible departure, and i have heard from 3 of his best friends who i have classes with, that he is talking to numerous coaches.. SOS to name one. This would be a huge pickup considering our kicking struggles as of late... Hopefully Matt comes to his senses and decides to make Columbia his home.

![]() Our class is currently #11 with Rivals, thanks to the bump from landing Williams today. (And, yes, that is ahead of Vandy.)

![]() Over the last 4 years (09-12) USC teams have been setting records and winning big games. Players responsible for this historic era of USC football were in recruiting classes (2005-2012) ranked respectively (SEC rank)...
Rivals - 23 (7), 24 (8), 6 (4)**, 22 (6), 12 (6), 24 (8), 18 (7), 19 (8). **This class was the highest rated, but attrition/non-impact wise atrocious. 31 players in the class 10/11 impact players. Interestingly UT outranked us every year and tater U every year but '07. Combined '05-'12 record vs. these two 10-6. Of course draw your own conclusions, but I think we do need to recruit better (higher rankings) if we want to take that next step. Only the last couple of years have our final football poll rankings been higher than our recruiting ranks, so the staff is starting to coach them up. But I feel we need better overall talent. Georgia so underachieves.

![]() I haven't been paying Rivals much attention these days. Did they change the points they give 3 star recruits? The 2013 rankings don't seem to jive with past years.

![]() ...or does the recruit rankings once again show their inability to predict W-L records? Same with Vandy....9 win team this year...how many teams with lesser records recruited better than them?
At best...all the recruit rankings show is potential and of course what everyone got for Christmas on signing day. |

![]() So if I get this straight, recruiting rankings mean nothing when clemmons or even Vandy out ranks us but they do when we we get a commit or when talking about our success in recruiting? Just so I have it correct.
