Outside of the top 10 guys at each position, it's so hard to evaluate these bigs because their bodies are so immature to have all that size. Only when they get man muscle later on, will we know whether guys like Griffin will be good or not. If he works hard on his body, he should be, but it takes the commitment of the kid himself over many years, not a ranking. We have the culture of hard work here now, more good things on the way for us I believe.

While UGA is taking a lot of CBs this class, we only return 2 scholarship corners...there's a LOT of PT to be had if these guys want to come in and compete for it.


I did not include Devin Bowman because he is in no way a SEC-caliber player; he was a reach when we signed him and he has not panned out. I expect most ever corner we bring in with this class to pass him on the depth chart.

We don't need another CB as much as LB's, but it would be nice if he came here. I don't like that he hasn't switched yet, so I am less likely to think that he will. The circumstances to make him switch are still the same as they were when they happened.

He is making an OV here so definitely not the case where the more time goes on the less likely he is to switch. I personally see this coming down to an NSD decision for Wiggins we can't turn him while he is on campus.

This the key. There are a multitude of kids highly talented in HS Football and ratings/projections are a mere educated guess. Filling needs and getting kids that are coachable and bring the right chemistry are as important as anything. Not saying landing highly rated talent is a bad thing but chemistry is vastly underrated in recruiting.

They didn't drug test for the longest time. But, it's my understanding that the University of Oregon finally caved to pressure and began performing mandatory tests on student athletes this past fall.

If we are not in the top 5 I'm not happy. When Lattimore and Clowney came it should have had an effect on our future recruiting, we should be in the top 5 by this year.

Exactly! This whole thread is moot, because not a single service (aside from ESPN's one slot difference) has us ranked behind Vandy at this point! We should wind up with a consensus top 15 class (even with ESPN) come signing day, because we'll likely land two more 4-star players.
