Though Tunsil missed Thursday’s practice, he’s been by far the most dominant offensive lineman on either squad, which should be expected from the country’s top offensive lineman. Tunsil is uncommitted. Alabama and Georgia leads Ole Miss and Florida State.

Uncommitted five-star offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil didn’t take a ton of reps on Tuesday but when he did he was dominant. The 6-foot-6, 295-pound Tunsil is flexible and showed his great feet on this day. Alabama and Georgia are out in front of Florida State and Ole Miss.

Green is a bull with quick feet that has been good at hitting the edge this week. The uncommitted prospect has been the top running back for the East squad. Michigan could be the team to beat here with Auburn and others in the mix.

The running backs are another strength for the East team and on Tuesday it was uncommitted back Derrick Green leading the way. The 6-foot, 220-pound Green had several nice runs going into the heart of a strong defensive line and linebacker crew. Green is a powerful runner that doesn’t go down on first contact and has the ability to make people miss in tight areas. He runs low and sets up his blocks well. Ranked as the nation’s No. 5 running back and No. 45 prospect overall according to the 247Composite, Green ran really hard in-between the tackles.

Uncommitted 247Composite five-star cornerback MacKensie Alexander turned it up a notch in 11-on-11 as well. One wow play, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound Alexander was able to shed a blocker in the open field and come make a big hit on the ball carrier. Great feet and hips, Alexander is always strong in coverage. Rutgers, Florida, Texas A&M, Clemson, Auburn, Mississippi State and Kentucky all remain in the mix for Alexander.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Alexander’s recruitment has been entertaining to follow and many leaders have surfaced. It now looks like Clemson has the upper hand with Texas A&M, Auburn and Mississippi State also remaining in the mix for the nation’s No. 3 cornerback and No. 19 prospect overall according to the 247Composite.

Little late with this but he decommitted from USF after Skip was canned

A former South Florida commit, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound Woulard remains high on the Bulls and N.C. State. He is the nation’s No. 1 dual threat quarterback according to the 247Composite and the country’s No. 90 prospect overall according to 247Sports.

Tennessee is battling the in-state Tar Heels for the nation’s No. 8 receiver and No. 79 prospect overall according to the 247Composite. Clemson and N.C. State are also still in the mix for the 6-foot-4, 212-pound North, who as a senior rushed for 682 yards and 18 touchdowns while adding another 322 yards receiving and seven scores.

I think you'll forever be angry then. SOS has stated that his recruiting goals here start with SC. We lock up the state, then cherry pick the ones we want in GA & NC. Then sprinkle in a few from FL and the Northeast, then we're done.

Looking at the talent in those five geographic areas, it's solid. Solid enough to have us winning 11 games annually and competing with and/or beating the best teams in the best conference in America. We don't have to be in the running for the best DB in California or the top OLs in Texas.

Also, if you notice the Top 5 teams recruit nationally. They are plucking of the best players from whatever state. They typically have one or more national championships that go to help that matter. Until we win a national championship...or Urban Meyer or Nick Saban come to succeed Spurrier when he retires, don't expect a nationwide model for recruiting for us. Thus don't expect consistent Top 5 finishes.

And to further beg the point, in Lattimores class (2010) and Clowneys (2011), we didn't even finish in the Top 15 recruiting.

I, for one, am quite impressed that we can have a #19 ranked class and finish in the Final Top 10 polls. Remember recruiting rankings are perceptual. Based on potential and recruiting "experts" that have and cannot research all the data (i.e. the players). You rather be ranked Top 5 on paper or on the field?

In the crazy world of recrtuiting math or whatever on might call it. We have twenty commits, three early enrollees that we are able to count towards last years class due to some not qualifying. With our scholarship restrictions or whatever we are allowed twenty-two, so with the ee's, i'm thinking twenty-four or twenty-five tops.

I'd like to see four of the following five; Na'Ty Rodgers, Yannick Ngakoue, Keith Bryant, Taj Williams & Kendrick Hair. Sure it's wishful thinking but oh well :)

LB Yannick Ngakoue of Washington, DC was at the Under Armour Game this week and in a video interview late in the week with Rivals.com he said he was down to a final three of USC, Maryland and Florida State. “If I go to Maryland, I can stay home and my mom can see me play,” Ngakoue said. “With Florida State, I have a real good relationship with coach Sal (Sunseri). He tells me I could be a good fit in their defense. And South Carolina wants me to play inside linebacker and I like coach Spurrier a lot.” Ngakoue said distance will not be a factor in his thinking and he won’t announce until Signing Day. “It’s going to be what’s best my mom thinks is for me,” he said. “When I take my visits, I will know it’s home.” He has visited Maryland and is scheduled to visit Florida State January 12th and USC the following weekend.

Nebraska offered Gaffney DE Jaylen Miller Thursday. The Cornhuskers are the latest major program to offer the Shrine Bowler. Some of his other offers are Tennessee, Florida, LSU, Kentucky, Wake Forest, Maryland, Georgia Tech and NC State. He has set official visits to Georgia Tech January 11th and Maryland January 26th. He has said he will visit Wake Forest and NC State as well.

DL Montravius Adams of Vienna, GA arrived in Orlando Sunday for the Under Armour Game and revealed four official visits he plans to take. Adams will take his first visit right after Friday’s game by heading to Florida. He is then scheduled to visit Clemson January 11th, Alabama on the 18th and Georgia on the 25th. Adams visited Clemson and Georgia during the regular season. He plans to announce his decision on Signing Day.
