Okay I was there, here is my take. The lower bowl was pretty full and probably about 50-50. I could see the upper Michigan section from my seats, but couldn't see our upper deck. When I went back and watched the game on tv I saw a shot of our upper deck. The Michigan upper was significantly bigger. They probably had 3-5 thousand more up there.


That being said, I was also at the last Outback bowl and it wasn't even close. I remember about 60-40 Iowans to Gamecocks just in the lower bowl. I don't even recollect what the UD was like.

They probably had 3-4 K more than we did. Lowers were even but they certainly had more in the uppers. I sat in the end zone with the pirate shit so I had a pretty good vantage of the entire stadium. They outnumbered us but not outrageously.
