Well we seemed to improve down the stretch and learned how to hold a lead. Our biggest area of concern is cutting salaries from some ridiculous contracts that were given by Hurney. We also need to have a really solid draft and build some good depth.

This might be a blessing let RR finish out the contract and while this is going on our new GM whoever that might be should be working on our salary cap situation its a damned mess thats putting it nicely. It is going to take anywhere between 3-4 years to get all the big wasted contracts that Hurney signed this past season off the books. We need this mess to blow up completely then rebuild this franchise to what it should be.

Hopefully Rivera will learn about the fourth quarter this season. I say anything short of making the playoffs, he needs to go. With the talent we had this season, there is no reason we shouldn't be playing today, other than the coaching staff and their lack of coaching a team to finish the game....All 60 minutes, not just 45.

I see no reason to keep him. His team only plays 3/4 of a game, it's only fair to let him finish out only 2/3 of his contract. I seriously wonder if our management cares about the Super Bowl at all.

so i feel bad about RG3 injury but before that happened i think one thing was proven today, he is not this great passer that everyone made him out to be.....not saying anyone in here did, im just putting it here b/c if ur like me you got annoyed with ppl comparing RG3 to Cam's and Luck's passing abilities

Seattle has a really good defense too. But I agree that Luck and Cam have shown themselves to be better passers. I wasn't very impressed with Luck though. He seemed to float a lot of passes today.

Cam was 12/29 for 141 yards against the Seahawks earlier this year. And, he was healthy. Playing at home.

I don't like the Skins or the Panthers, but if I were building a team, I'd prefer RGIII to Cam, in part for character reasons, which I think translates to success on the field in less obvious ways. Just my opinion.

The only thing is Cam is a hell of a lot more mature than last season. He has changed from his college days and I would build a team around Cam than RG3.

panthers leading RB rusher had 16 yards, skins had morris go for 80 with a long of 18

also Cam out played RG3 in Washington

RGIII took his team to the playoffs (and was playing really well before the reinjury in this game--scoring more in just the first quarter than the Panthers had the entire game v. same opponent) and won 10 games in his first season, many of them close games down the stretch. The guy has leadership skills, and I don't think Cam could have done the same with the exact same team. That's essentially what I'm saying and what matters to me.

This is all speculation, of course, but I'm just sharing opinions on the internet.

How many games this season has the defense blown after Cam had a decent lead 5 or 6 games? The lead was blown by the defense and Cam didn't lose those games.

I would kill for the Redskins o line vs Carolina's o line this season. We had a pretty good yr considering the early defensive woes and the fact that our RBs left a lot to be desired playing behind a battered o line.

Listen, I don't have any real interest in coming into the Panthers thread and dogging on the QB. The only reason I jumped in here is because, well, I woek with a Panthers fan who just hates RGIII for no reason other than he dilutes praise for Cam, and I suppose I didn't care the timing when I saw more of the same here today. From what I've seen of RGIII, he has been very impressive in terms of the intangibles of the game and just strikes me as a good guy who it's hard to pull against (even though I was pulling for Seattle today). So, when I see gratuitous shots from Cam-fans, it just seems like bad form and jealousy to me. RGIII's accomplishments shouldn't feel like a threat to fans of Cam. And, it just bothered me a little extra when this sentiment appeared so instantly after the injury. That's all I'll say. I have no real investment in either guy. I pull for the Bills. Our QB issues are much more real.

im not taking any 'gratuitous shots' at RG3....ive been saying all year that he cant throw down field effectively enough to be what everyone says he is

his coaches have done a great job scheming their O to make ppl play the misdirection run plays and when RG3 does throw about 65% of the time its within 5 yards of LOS or behind the LOS

and when ppl have said that he should be, and most likely will be, OROY over Luck....i just cant believe it

Your knees are critical for passing, his injury definitely affected his game today in more than just mobility.

Good call to bring Rivera back. The guy deserves another year. I think his leash is pretty short....probably a year to year thing...which is okay by me.

I'm waiting to see who Richardson picks for GM. If it's Beane or that dude from Canada, I'll be upset.

Didn't see this posted....but two former Panther players....young ones too...died over the weekend.

QB Jeff Lewis was 39 and Center Bryan Stoltenberg was 40.
