I also believe someone in his family played at USC. I'm not sure the staff pursued him much...or either he didn' show much interest our way. Honestly it's not hard to see why the staff didn't chase him too hard..this seems to be the kind of guys they are trying not to recruit. All kinds of talent...but some questionable decision making

If we have 6 or so graduating next year (plus three plus going for the draft (Clowney, Quarles, Hampton... probably, maybe more)) it will be a very limited number. With all the talent in state and interest around the nation growing we could be limiting what we could get if we don't have the scholarships available for all the talent that could be looking to come here. Next years recruiting class has all the makings of a deep pool that we should be looking forward to fishing in.

I know "the numbers work themselves out" is a great refrain around here, but I'm just wondering if planning that far ahead is worth considering? I would be ecstatic with the 21 we would have (assuming all sign/enroll, of course...) and would hate to have to gimp next years class if we are getting interest from the like of Hand (#1 overall) and Humphrey (#1 CB) this early in the process.

Would shorting this class be better off, in the long run, than filling it with bodies now instead of hoping for what we could have next year? Just wondering...

I doubt it. But I believe we won't just take players to fill the class. If we get the right players, we could potentially take 5 more but to do that, then a couple more not discussed above will leave.....or perhaps 1-2 current commits don't get the grades.

What? UF is a horrid passing team.. that's not the same logic at all haha

He is a WR and he is going to a place with a QB who is not good in passing situations.. therefore why would he goto a place that does not utilize his skills? Their offense has been awful this year

I could see one of our other 2013 LB/DL recruits becoming a DT as well, especially Gerald Turner (has great size now, but unfortunately will most likely outgrow LB after a season or two in S&C here)

If Dukes can reach his potential and Griffin as well, it may be the best DT tandem we've ever had here (If only Quarles had stayed healthy this year, him and Byron were amazing). Regardless, what once was a weak point of our team has become strong. If KQ stays his senior year he may be the best lineman in the SEC

I read a 247 sports recap of the Semper Fi game that stated Williams' actual announcement came in the 1st quarter, but it wasn't broadcast until the 2nd. So I think it was public to some degree before it was televised.

I also found it odd that his site had the commitment posted before it aired but he didn't release it on Twitter until after it ran on NFL Net. Wonder if someone posted it too soon.

Not trying to be an apologist for Korn because this sort of thing isn't beneath him, but I don't think he was deliberately being a jackass this time.

LB: J. Walton flips.
DT: Senat
LB: I'll take a flyer and go with Reuben Foster. Huge need at LB, and sometimes guys with drama in their lives seem to see the appeal of a fresh start.

Would be surprised if we have any decommits, though I wouldn't be shocked if it gets interesting with Pharoh Cooper and UNC.
