Wow. I watched him for 4 yrs in high school and thought he was really good. May not fit our system but would have liked to have him on our team. He may not be the typical QB but the kid is a winner and great leader. Also from everyone I have spoken with, he is an even better person.

Saw him play against Byrnes his senior year. We slaughtered them but you could tell he had a cannon arm then, just not accurate, balls were skipping the ground, flying to the sidelines. Seems to have become more accurate at ND. He made the right decision, he fits their system as QB better than ours. He would have been a receiver here.

You beat MB/ Golson decisively at Byrnes his junior year. He injured his ankle against Byrnes at MB his senior year and he missed the 2nd half of the game as well as the rest of the regular season. Byrnes won that game in the final minute 21-14. BTW...he was a fantastic HS QB.

I went to high school at Conway. When I was in school, Mickey Wilson was the QB at Conway. He is now the head coach at Myrtle Beach and coached Golson in high school. I am friends with his wife on FB (I had a huge crush on her then but never told her) but not Mickey.

He was at the game tonight and they are hurting. They were HUGE Golson fans and pulling for him tonight. This one hurts for them.

However, living in SC, they had to know this could happen. Sad for them but not shocking.
