I am sorry but this is a disgrace to not at least vote one person in. mlb writers shouldn't be the only people voting for the hall of fame. They use peoples personal relationships with the media against them and don't judge on the field. I could really care less what they do about the steroid era guys but Jack Morris, Curt Schilling, Craig Biggio should have gotten elected today. Schilling post season stats alone should have gotten him in. Biggio stats are comparable to plenty of HOF people.

IMO Biggio is more quantity over quality. He had over 12K plate appearances and hit .281. Just not HOF numbers.

you cant count plate appearances and batting average. You can do batting average and official at bats if you want but if you are going to do plate appearances than you have to count walks and HBP which he had 1400+. His on base percentage is 363 much better than 281 batting average

I have no clue what you are saying, but I'm not going to list all his stats. He hit .281 and his 3000 hits were a result of so many plate appearances.

no. I am just curious because I have heard this before about Biggio and honestly I used to side towards him not being HOF caliber. You got to look at some of those teams they were horrible. His numbers are on par with a majority of HOF.

i used Robin Yount because he was a first ballot HOF and they both played 20 years. Younts BA 285 and his on base was 342. pretty comparable

actually it does. He was long suspected of being a user. His numbers aren't that good comparably. He is just below HOF to me. Definitely a good player though

Biggio was a nice player but he is not more worthy than Murphy. Two NLMVP's on that horrible team. His numbers would have been much better had he had anyone behind him. Easy guy to pitch around when no one else scares you.

In my opinion, Biggio was one of the best second basemen of his era.

Murphy was one of the best all around players of his era. I never said Biggio wasn't good I just think Murphy is more worthy of consideration.
