Being loaded with quality defensive linemen is essential to contending year after year in the SEC. His offer list is extremely impressive. I'd love to see him join this class!

How many spots do we have left, five right? Senat would be a nice add. Also, some believe Rodgers is a silent commit, Keith Bryant is FSU bound (most likely), Foster is a very long shot, Walton maybe a last minute option, Wiggins could be a possibility along with Powell & Ngakoue. What about Moore?

I thought Quinton Powell wasn't necessarily a take as many think he would be spur? Se seem to think he doesn't have the frame to be an effective SEC linebacker. I mean he would need to put on a good 30-35 lbs of good weight.. Right?

A couple more things to add.. If Senat was once a Florida St commit then he is good enough to play here. He also has a nice offer list. Second, when will top rated defensive recruits (Alexander specifically in this case) learn NOT to go to Clemson??? My god they have nothing to offer you.. You can play vs weak competition, they aren't known for putting quality DBs into the NFL, and their S&C program could very well make the kid WEAKER!! I just don't get it.

He wants to be here and I want him to be here. Looks like he can be the anchor type like our big man Jerideau was this year. If he tries to commit then hopefully they will accept it.

He is certainly a darn good player. Bryant evidently cannot make his mind up where we stand. Wish we had the room to take Senat and then Bryant as well if he decided on us. That would be a massive haul adding Griffin to the mix. Regardless 2 of those 3 is a great class in itself. I like Griffin better than any of the three and he is in the boat.

No those guys don't sign. Connor Mitch and whoever else enrolled early do not count toward this years class.

They dont count towards the LOI rule. We can not count them back because we took a full class last year. Ronnie Martin is our only LOI at the moment.

Do yourselves a favor.

Go look at our commitment list, Auburn's, Georgia's, Clemson's, Vanderbilt's, and Florida's. When you do, only look at the names, where they're from, and their measurables (height, weight, 40 time..). Don't look at star ratings, evaluation scores, or anything else.

Notice any glaring differences between the classes?

Probably not.

Now, dig deeper. Check out the level of competition they play against. Take a look at their stats over the course of their career, are they trending up? Did they make any All Star games or win any region honors?

While you're at it, watch their film, go to a few games. Get to meet their parents. See how they are regarded in and around their community. How are their grades? What's their work ethic like? Are they regarded as a leader by their teammates?

That's how I hope our staff recruits. Another option would be to recruit by using star ratings and the advice of recruiting services. Ask Randy Shannon how that works.

i'm pretty sure we have extended an offer because hes a dern good corner, but from all ive read he wants to kind of be a package with his brother and we dont have room for both.

Its difficult to believe anyone accepts the accuracy of recruting rankings...Its very subjective and biased based on the limited info on so many players...When coaches evaluate, they try and project potential, development, attitude, best position as well as coachability...Its an inexcact science to say the least....Our staff has repeatedly demonstrated a great ability to evalute and develop....Enjoy the wins and trust what you see on the field...
