ESPY Play of the Year

Given that JD's hit in the Outback Bowl has been played every day on the 4 Letter since it happened New Year's Day do you think it will get the ESPY for Best Play of the Year?

Everything about it spells big play. The actual hit, scooping up the fumble, the fact that it came immediately after a universally recognized horrible call, the fact that the very next play was a TD pass, on top of it taking place during the most down-to-the-wire bowl game of the season. I do not see how it couldn't be the play honestly.

I think it's a nominee, but not the winner. Don't get me wrong...I want to see it win. But, there's plenty of time for it to slip away from the forefront. I see the ESPY going to something in a more important game, frankly. Someone will make a play in the NBA playoffs...or the NCAA tourney that isn't half the play...but perhaps it was a more important situation. Just my $0.02

Today on Dan Patrick Pauly gave Dan the chin strap and gloves that Clowney was wearing when he made the hit for the man cave.

That hit has transcended college football and the media like nothing I've ever seen.

I say you damn right! Something tells me the Manziel play against Alabama will be against it. Either way, Clowney carnage IS THE play of the year, strong running for top play of decade. We'll see.
