I've heard the OC Supertones but drawing a blank. Was a HUGE DC Talk fan. Met Michael, Kevin, and Toby in person years ago. Got a photo of me and Toby.

The Buckinghams - "Kind Of a Drag", "Don't You Care", "Susan"
Joe South - "Walk A Mile In My Shoes", "Games People Play","I Never Promised You A Rose Garden" Billy Joe Royal - "Down In The Boondocks", "Cherry Hill Park", "I Knew You When" ------------------------------ Box Tops Herman's Hermits Tommy James And The Shondells Aside Notes: The core of The Buckinghams became what turned into "Chicago" & Billy Joe Royal got his start as a song writer whose songs were becoming hits for other groups, including...Billy Joe Royal's "Down In The Boondocks". Good thread idea by the OP. Brings back lots of old memories.

Box Tops - "The Letter" (Joe Cocker did his version not long after), "Cry Like A Baby", "Soul Deep" (If you are old enough to remember the late'60's, you'd recognize the songs once you'd hear them...in a "Oh, yeah" moment. Finish the last two: Herman's Hermit's Tommy James & The Shondells

Fair enough:
Herman's Hermit's Mrs. Brown You Got a Lovely Daughter, Henry The VIII I Am, There's a Kind of Hush Tommy James & The Shondells: I Think We're Alone Now, Crimson & Clover, Ball and Chain. Interesting Herman's Hermit story, I met Peter Noone and Michael Jordan all in the same night at an Embassy Suites bar in Charlotte. They were both in town for unrelated events. Weird. Peter Noone was really cool, Jordan was not. Next up: Bad Religion Social Distortion The Cramps
