I love how the fact that they beat one good team (in a terribly coached tgame at that) in a bowl game, and now they are over the hump and ready to win the national title. All the analysts seem to forget that Ball State was essentially their signature win before the CFA bowl.

It really is remarkable/ridiculous, but they have to be looking at the probability of them running the table. ACC, no problem; catching GA early, at home and having FSU at home as well. Don't think they'll survive at the Brice, again, but they have homefield advantage for 2 of their 3 toughest games (could read 'only' games). They stay healthy and get up for one game: Carolina. Not saying we'll crap the sheets like LSU, but we'll probably be banged up again limping into the final home game. That's the only reason they keep popping up in this list. Very similar to ND as another poster suggested.

Let's get this straight...Clemson didn't beat LSU...LSU lost that game.

If LSU runs the ball on 2nd and 2...they either get the first down, burn 25 more seconds, or force Clemson to burn a timeout.
If They run it again on say 3rd and 1, they either get the first down, burn 25 more seconds, or force Clemson to burn another time out.

So here are the scenarios.
LSU gets the first down and wins the game.
LSU burns 50 seconds, giving Clemson 12 seconds with three timeouts and poor field position after a punt.
LSU gives Clemson the ball with roughly a minute, poor field position and one timeout.

Clearly...LSU gave them that game with the worst coaching decisions of the season.
You thought Notre Dame lucked into wins...LSU gave them that game.
