with so many dtackles next year, and only jerideau leaving, do we need another dt in this class or should we wait till next year?

To me, any time you have the chance to get a potential impact DT (or O Lineman), you have to try and get them.

We've seen our success increase proportionately with our line play. Not every player pans out, some leave, and injuries happen...so a little insurance doesn't hurt.

OVs are not a problem - we averaged less than 30 OVs per year even before the sanctions. The staff does not believe in bringing in recruits for OVs unless we have a really good chance of getting them. In the past, we had some bad experiences with kids visiting just for fun and bad-mouthing us/trying to recruit for other schools. So we have to have a warm and fuzzy feeling before we offer an OV and never come close to using up our allotment.

Which is also a reason that our recruiting budget is so low - don't have to buy a lot plane tickets and steak dinners.

Agree with this and don't see it being a huge problem for us.

Keep your eye on Zeek Rodney as well. The HS coaches I know up here in Rock Hill have great things to say about him.

TE: Crosby, Ritchie
OL: Staley, Spain
DE: Moten
DT: Wideman, Ford/Pringle
OLB: Allen Williams, Miller
MLB: Blue
DB: Smalls

Obviously, guys like Hand, Humphrey, and Tabor are oversigns so we will see what happens.

Just my opinion on who we should take etc.

Article on 247 about LB Miller from Spring Valley. Doesn't sound too encouraging for SC. Wants to play in a 3-4, apparently. Would suck to lose out on another legacy kid at LB.
