Well, he told that to a reporter. He also brought his entire family on his OV, and a teammate who is interested in Auburn. He has also said that he's helping recruit for Auburn.

There is a spot in his film where he hurdles a guy as a RB. This is someone we can land if we want him. It will depend on what happens with some other guys. I would just as soon have Brunson and Moore, and call it a day. Walton got offered from Auburn, and is going there, Powell is a buck-eighty five.

How are we "chasing them" by following their recruiting process? Are any of us personally making in home visits?

And don't be so quick to decry "condesceding (sic) comments" if you're going to follow that up by telling us all how pathetic we are for being interested in college football recruiting outside of the prism of Carolina football.

Auburn is going to need all the help they can get. Are they projecting 2-10 the next couple of years.

ESPN's football guy has predicted Auburn to be the most improved team next year, though seeing how awful we were this year, I don't see how that would be difficult.

LB Quinton Powell of Daytona Beach, a former Florida commitment, has confirmed he will visit USC January 25th. He says the Gamecocks are very much in the picture for his services. "They are a good program and they're a good defense," said Powell. "They are always competitive in the SEC. South Carolina was the first school to offer me so I have a older relationship with them." Powell will take his first visit this weekend heading West to Southern Cal. He has canceled his trip to Arkansas that was scheduled for February 1st and will visit Oregon instead. "They called me and told me they were really interested," he said. "They want me to come check them out." Miami is also a possibility for his final visit. "I won't visit Florida because I've already been there," he added. As for what Powell is looking for he said, "I want to see where I can live for the next four years without getting homesick. I want to go somewhere that I can feel comfortable without too much stress. I don't have any favorites because I haven't even taken my first visit." Powell plans to announce on National Signing Day.

Clemson paid a visit Tuesday afternoon to Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, DC to visit with uncommitted linebacker Yannick Ngakoue according to coach Azaar Abdul-Rahim. The Tigers along with Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn are among the schools trying to get into the running for Ngakoue who right now is primarily focused on USC, Maryland and Florida State. USC is to visit with him Wednesday and he will take his official visit to Columbia this weekend. Ngakoue visited Florida State last weekend. He is scheduled to visit Miami January 26th but his coach is not sure he will take any more visits after this weekend. Ngakoue has not indicated a favorite.

Not really sure how to take it. Maybe his coach really isn't sure of his plans or he's saying he will shut it down after this weekend.

Clemson is going after our recruits, plain and simple, b/c they are trying to get any high ranking recruits they can right now. There was never a truce or anything, so I'm not surprised by it. We've probably gone after recruits that were favoring each other from time to time. We'll get our guys, they'll get their guys and then we'll beat them on the field with our guys...that's just how it's been going and how it's going to be.
