You're kidding right. I have no problem that he is going. My issue is the way it happened was very surprising. I'm more shocked than anything. Never said he shouldn't go.

I don't think his draft status would change much from this year to the next so I feel like he's making the best decision for himself.
The part that really bothers me is that we have too many guys who leave early instead of trying to do something special here at SC. I know it's selfish on my part to want him to stay but c'mon have some faith in the team.
No way Ace gets drafted before 3rd round...

After the season he had, he's probably flying up the draft charts. I don't blame him for leaving.

Unexpected? Yes, because he had indicated he would be returning.

Disappointed? Yes, for next year's team especially for our return game.

Shocked? Not really.

Mad? Why need to be?

Happy? Well, I think I am for him. After all one of our players could get a chance to play at the next level, which does not happen all the time to everyone who plays college ball.

Will he be drafted? Who knows?

Does he have enough skill set to be succesful in NFL? No one can answer. I am no coach or NFL scout, who makes a wrong assessment of a player all the time.

I really hope Ace will get a chance to showcase his talent in the NFL, regardless of being drafted or as free agent. But another part of me also thinks (or I should say fears) that he could end up in Arena Football League, which may not be too bad in terms of playing football professionally (there are not so many players who can play professionally after his college days are over and make a living by doing so). Besides, his athletic talent and physical traits may be more fitting to the indoor game.

This is how College is. If you care about Ace follow him on his NFL team. I think he was a great PR, but there are others who can develop into world class PR like him. Damiere Byrd, Shaq Roland, we got that guy that was dismissed from Arkansas that will be eligible to play this year if he stayed in line(his videos were pretty good on the return game), then incoming players that can help. USC finally got a good ST coach. I think even with Ace leaving that the ST will step it up another notch. Look for DB, Ex Arky, SR or one of the recruits coming in to be in the endzone multiple times in 2013.

Good Luck ACE, was great watching you play these last couple of years.

How much money would you like to lose on the 2nd round bet. That was a projection by a guy that somewhat covers the Draft. He received a GM grade from the NFL - not some scrub journalist - that has him as a 4th rounder AT BEST.

I don't disagree with his decision... But why not just come out and say you're gonna leave? Don't lie and get everybody excited if you know in the back of your head that you may go pro... Bad move from that angle Ace... But good luck
