The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Williams started off the summer by picking up his second scholarship offer of the process after camping at in-state school Pittsburgh. He then went out and had a standout showing at the New Level Athletics 7-on-7 National Championship and was named one of the top wide receiver performers at the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge in Dallas.

Junior WR KJ Williams (6-3 190) of Bethelem, PA has offers from Rutgers and Pitt with interest from Michigan, Boston College, Ohio State, Penn State and Connecticut among others. He visited USC with RB David Williams for a camp over the summer but says he has not heard from the Gamecocks since. "I really liked it down there," said Williams. "They have really nice facilities. I like the location." He expressed interest in USC and said he would like to hear from them in the future. Williams has visited Rutgers and Pitt as well. The Pennsylvania product does not have any favorites. This season he caught 59 balls for 986 yards and 10 touchdowns in a triple-option offense.

WR KJ Williams (6-3190) of Bethlehem, PA has offers from Rutgers, Pitt and Connecticut. He is hearing from Arizona, Miami, Maryland, Ohio, Penn State, Michigan, Tennessee and NC State among others. Williams attended a camp at USC last summer and really liked the program. "It's the environment that I liked," said Williams. "I liked everything. The coaches were nice, the campus was nice and I really liked the facilities." He said he would like to return for another visit. "They told me (at the camp) that they really liked the way I play but I haven't heard from them lately," he said. "It will depend on their interest in me if I go back. I'm definitely interested in them." He visits Rutgers in March and appears to hold the Scarlet Knights in high regard. When asked if he had any favorites, he said, "Not really, but I like Rutgers a lot. I like everything about them." Williams is planning several visits this spring and plans to take a wait-and-see approach with the Gamecocks.

Williams was easily the top player on the day and to be honest, it wasn’t even close. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver was borderline unstoppable on Saturday and he showed why schools are coming after him so hard as of late. Williams has done a great job of molding his body into terrific shape and he has gotten much more physical than he was at the end of his junior season. He made plenty of acrobatic catches on the day and showed off outstanding leaping ability, especially in the red zone. He caught the ball well throughout the tournament and displayed impressive route running.

This wasn’t the same performance that Williams turned in at Youngstown State last month, but the four-star was still one of the top offensive performers in attendance. While he made a ton of highlight reel catches, it was evident that he wasn’t getting enough opportunities. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect was close to committing to Michigan last weekend, but this upcoming trip to Syracuse could help him prepare for a final decision.

Inconsistent play at quarterback made it difficult for Williams to have the type of day we are accustomed to seeing from the Rivals250 WR. Williams did his best work across the middle of the field during this event. He would attack the football in traffic, showing great concentration and strength.

Williams was the victim of some errant throws Saturday, but still showed the explosiveness and big-play ability that we have come to expect from him. A tough receiver, Williams was often seen diving to make a catch. His route-running continues to improve each time he comes to a camp, adding more head fakes and making his cuts more fluid. On more than one occasion, Williams was seen breaking press coverage and making a tough catch while tight-roping the sideline.

Williams wasn't as dominant as he has been at other camps, but he still showed the great speed and explosiveness that put defensive backs on their heels at the Newark RCS. One of things that stood out was how many times Williams could be seen diving for catches. Williams is continuing to improve his route running and flexibility.
