He may not start the beginning of the NFL season 2013 but I could see him starting in the middle of the season. He can do it. Marcus will prove to everyone he can produce in the NFL.

Couple of reasons he will not start...

Lets be realistic, an NFL team that is going to risk a contract with an injured player coming off two straight years of massive knee injuries is NOT going to start him. An NFL team will likely give him one season of light duty, assess, reassess, and then load him up in 2014. Marcus is giving the media a healthy dose of rah-rah-rah before the draft. I can't wait to see what he does with this chance he's earned.

I see this scenario playing out, plus, I would imagine that rehab on the knee has taken the majority of his energy, and to play with the big boys he needs extensive weight gaining and training for the rest of his body.

Me too! I just feel like he left so much out there because of the injury plagued career.

Even if he could of just had a full year last year it would just feel more settling. I think he had a chance to go down as 1 of the top running backs in college

His problem is that if he were in the same system, as he was last year, it wouldn't be that much of an issue. He is gonna have to spend a lot of time rehabbing instead of learning a new playbook, weight training that doesn't involve his rehab, and gettin used to the talent level. Now I know Marcus is about as ready talent level as any back and usually a running back is one of the easier positions to contribute right away, but he's starting over and doesn't have the luxury of being familiar with everything as he did last year.

I wouldnt think so..the combine is in a month and he's probably only able to jog on it for now, by then he won't even be cutting, maybe stright running though

He is going to the combine for a medical review.

Not bashing our OLines in past... But it would be fun to see how Marcus does behind a really good offensive line with his vision and cutting ability.

Good point, but do you think since he is no longer in school and now football is his job, then he can replace studying books for class with studying plays for football? Sounds like an even trade to me, time wise.
