Frank Gore fined for uniform violations

The NFL has fined 49'ers RB Frank Gore for what has been dubbed PES (Performance Enhancing Socks). The NFL's fine totals at $10,500. Commissioner Roger Goodell says the league will immediately begin testing for PES's before every game. All other League funded testing programs will be stopped until a permanent solution has been found for PES.

Seriously though, the NFL really did fine Gore for wearing his socks to low.

Everything you wear on an NFL field has a dress code to it, I believe Randy Moss use to get fined a lot for it. If I'm not mistaken, all of the gloves/sweat bands/accessories have to be licensed NFL apparel.

Sean Taylor got the same fine. He wore different looking socks than the rest of the team one week, I can't remember what the reason was. It's because the uniform is not in conformity with the standards established by the NFL and the contracts previously agreed to by different clothing manufacturers.....can't wear UA shoes if you have an agreement with Nike. As far as PES that sounds like total bullshit.

Goodell was schooled by Tagliabue a few months ago.
