If it's true I'm really sad to hear it. I remember during his recruitment I read a story about him befriending a special-needs kid in his neighborhood.

He always struck me as a kid that could go either way, pull himself up and succeed or allow himself to be lowered by his surroundings.

I hope he manages to find his way.

Hopefully Lateek will find a place where he will be happy.

With that said, I really wanted him to come here right up until I saw him make his announcement. The guy was rude and wouldn't stop talking even when the announcer kept telling him to stop. He couldn't care less that there was a game going on and that players only had a small time slot to make there pick. At that point I lost total interest in him as I feel the coaching staff did as well.

I saw Lateek play in a playoff game here locally when he was a senior. After watching him play, I stated then that he wasn't an SEC caliber LB. I hate that things didn't work out for him at Clempsux, but I think he's better served at a smaller school. (i.e. Coastal, Wofford, etc....)

Tater tom do you not thinkk that some guys arent cut out for the SEC? It's a legit question. Some guys just dont fit into the scheme of how the SEC plays. Sorry but the EZZ doesnt have SEC quality Defensive guys, except for a few. EZZ is by the stats smaller than SEC guys.
