This young man's father was a BEAST. From that time, everyone talked about Stephen Davis at Spartanburg, and Anthony Hunter was as good or better than Davis, just couldn't get into school! He was amazing, I grew up watching him, and he is one of the reasons I wanted to be a football player. I always looked forward to putting on the black and golf for Union High! Good luck to AJ

If you don't mind me asking what happen to Mr. Hunter, the article gives the impression he is no longer in his sons life? I hope he has a good head on his shoulder, articles like this and I assume there will be many more can lead to a big head and trouble for a young man. His dad passed away in a car accident. He was an awesome football player. Led Union to the state title in 1990.

His father passed away in a car accident in Union a while back. I played softball in a church league against him, he hit a softball out of the park once that I don't think landed YET. That was 6 years ago! He absolutely destroyed it. His athletic ability was outrageous.
