Hit the winning shot to lead La Salle over Butler.
----------------------------- Andrew Smith's layup with 8 seconds left put Butler ahead 53-52 and it appeared the Bulldogs would survive another thriller. Not so fast. Galloway took the inbounds, drove past Smith and Rosevelt Jones and banked the shot for the stunner that helped flood the court with delirious fans. La Salle last defeated a Top 25 team on March 3, 2001, against No. 18 Saint Joseph's, 91-90. The last time La Salle defeated a top 10 team was on Jan. 30, 1980, against No. 8 Notre Dame, 62-60, according to ESPN Stats & Information. La Salle's Sam Mills hit a jumper with 32 seconds left to make it 52-51. But Mills missed the front end of a 1-and-1 to give Butler the ball with 10.9 seconds left. Smith gave Butler the short-lived lead. Galloway hit the basket to remember. "You could tell how everybody celebrated how happy they was," guard Tyreek Duren said. Galloway, battling some family issues, broke down in tears in the postgame press conference as he talked about his family. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=330232325 |

Holloway has had a great career. If his averages stay the same, he'll wind up with around 1,500 points and 1,000+ rebounds. Don't know where that puts him in terms of Ole Miss record books, but here he'd be one of about 5 or 6 to accomplish that. He's one that we should be kicking ourselves that we let get out of state.

You have to think the family members facing health issues were a big factor in Ramon moving back to the Philadelphia area . The NCAA thought so since they granted him a waiver to avoid sitting out a year .

It was obvious, Horn threw Galloway under the bus on numerous occasions. However, going to La Salle did enable him to be closer to his family and it's evident his family needs him right now. I hated seeing Galloway leaving more than any of Horn's recruits, but at least it's working out for him.

Holy crap. You guys are STILL crying about him? And to say that he was good when he was here is flat out wrong. He shot 35% from the field! 35%. Along with 2 turnovers per game. Y'all are letting your hate for Horn blind the fact that Galloway just wasn't producing like he should. Some players turn out to be good. Some don't. Galloway showed that he wasn't very good. He left. End of story.

Galloway was a stud. He averaged 11 pts a game as a sophomore that missed the entire preseason due to injury. The guy had some MONSTER dunks if any of you remember, specifically one vs. Arkansas last year. The dude could ball. Iv'e never met Darrin Horn, but man he must not be a very likable dude.

It's great to see him have success and especially nice to see him get to enjoy a once in a lifetime moment like that.

It's not an extreme. It's reality. If he were still here, everyone would be talking about his terrible percentages and claiming he was just another Horn bad recruit. But since he decided to leave, he is apparently some superb basketball player.

Ramon was our best scoring threat at the guard position, I think he would start on this team especially with Page being gone.

Agreed, what this team lacks is someone that can score when we desperately need a bucket. How many times does Bruce drive and kick to a wide open Eric Smith or Lakeem Jackson with an open shot and the ball is then just passed around the perimeter. We lack any real scoring threats other than Williams who has been a little inconsistent, luckily our defense has kept us in games lately. We need Richardson and Leonard to step up badly.

No, because he'd probably be our leading scorer and fan favorite. He'd definitely be a starter, and a good one at that.
