Hey Guys & Ladies,
Having traveled all over SC, NC, and GA, I think that the overall taste of best bar-b-que resides in South Carolina. I grew up a ketchup based eater, but I do like mustard and vinegar based que, but just not as much. Now after saying all of that, where is the best Bar-B-Que Place that you have eaten at in our state. I know we may have done this a while back, but I would like to try it again. My favorite place for both flavor and price is Carolina Bar-B-Que in New Ellenton, South Carolina. Great hash and chicken and for the price $8.50 for all you can eat, it's hard to beat it. The bar-b-que is also great and their sides are pretty good too. |

Barebones in Greenwood is top notch. Great ribs and brisket. Awesome chicken. And the pulled pork BBQ is just ridiculous.

Midway in Union (Buffalo) is what I grew up on. Also went to a hole in the wall place off the main road into Greenwood, can't remember the name, and it was REALLY good as well.

Has anyone ever tried Hite's BBQ on Dreher Rd. in West Columbia?
From what I've read, the bbq in that place is some of the best you can get.

Bucky's in Greenville is very good cue. Smoky with just enough bark. No sauce needed.

agreed.. best fried chicken I have ever had also.
The School House in Scranton is good too, so is Rogers BBQ in Florence. these are all local places to me so my opinion doesnt have much range.
