He said Lyons was not on that level but a good player. Poster above read it wrong.

I thought he said the recruit was not as highly regarded as Foster.

Thanks to all of you. After I viewed this young man's profile, I was shocked at the thought Morrell would make such a statement. The explanations given make much more sense.

I believe that Rivals, like several others, was wrong in their predictions about N. Rodgers. They are all just speculating and going with the "easy" prediction due to location and a friend. No but he had a really good time on his OV.

Three things that bode well for us:

1) He isn't taking the Miami visit. That's writing on the wall that he is either picking South Carolina or Vanderbilt.

2) The HBC hasn't used his in-home visit. In-home visits can do alot for a kids recruitment and if the HBC decides to go up there, I believe Ward and Mangus tag along with him and give him the full court press. Plus, Maryland's head coach already used his.

3) The facts are facts. South Carolina is right now a program on the rise and is on the verge of becoming an elite program. He has the chance to earn immediate playing time, a big conference and plus the national exposure.

Now, I will completely understand if he goes to Maryland and I can't blame him because as someone else said, it has worked both ways representing the home team. Clowney, Gilmore, and Latti did when they could have went elsewhere but they chose to stay at home and help build this program. If he goes to Maryland best of luck, but I am not going to say it is over until NSD or he commits.

Funny since when he spurneed UT he said it was because UT had lost to a bottom dweller like Kentucky. Seriously, almost word for word and it is safe to say theres at least a 50% chance he ends up there.

Favorites of his parents? His dad has talked VERY highly of Tennessee. So much so that a few on VN have wondered if his dad is leaning more toward UT and North himself more to UNC.

I seriously think some of these "journalists" really just pull crap from their ass.

The feeling we have is that those around him are pushing him toward UNC and he and his family recognize the opportunity to play in the SEC and still be near home.

In recruiting, getting a stud WR is the skill position with the least ability to "change a team around", because they are dependant on other positions to be successful (QB, OL etc). Look at Mizzou prime example- they got the #1 player in the nation, a 6'6 220 freak called the next CJ, and they still lost 7 games (althought he ended the season solid, still had under 400 yards total)

Tbh I think the back up (Worley, right?) Is a better QB, they may have growing pains at o-line, but they should still be competitive. My 2¢

Almost our entire OL returns. Only Dallas (OG) graduated and neither James or Stone left early for the draft.

What are these growing pains on the OL you speak of?
