New USC Recruiting Coordinator

From what I read about the NCAA rule changes that start in August...we can have 1 additional recruiting coordinator that does not have to count as an Asst Coach.

So, who's it going to be?

Who's available?

How about Trooper Taylor?

Make Mike Locksley the highest paid assistant coach in the NCAA because the perfect position for him involves all recruiting no coaching. Arguably the top recruiter in the country.

Yeah. That man can just flat out recruit. He kept New Mexico St in with some 4* and 5* recruits until the very end of the process when he was coaching there. He is the guy you just get and throw him in on Hand, Carter, and every other top recruit and see who he can pull.

he has certainly been impressive and giving us fits all year even when they sucked. I think we could use someone with the pull power of this guy.

Coach Spurrier has said if anyone is going to get a job as an 'official' staff member it is Lyles. Can't remember his first name at the moment but he works with Bubba and does the majority of the work on our on campus visits. Recruits absolutely love him apparently.

Postseason rankings came out. Pharaoh Cooper went to 4*'s. still 27th in NC though. L Bryant dropped from #2 to #4 at his position and from 6.0 to 5.9 and is no longer in the rivals top 100. Probably all the shuffling of players caused this.

If it's the same guy we are thinking about it's Robbie Lyles. I'm an acquaintance of his (we've done plumbing work for him), sat next to him at a few baseball games, and ran into him a few times while at dinner with a recruit.

No I'm not a stalker, the plumbing jobs have been on purpose obviously, but the random meetings in public are not planned lol.

I don't see any way he'd fit in with our staff, but if you wanted a hard working, pure recruiter, Ed Orgeron would be tough to beat. Plus, he has a great eye for DL talent.

Of course, he does appear to be a slimeball, but if all you wanted was a recruiter, he's probably a year away from getting canned at that dumpster fire Kiffin has been throwing gas on....
