I respect LSU fans too much to do that. I'll sell that Grade D meat to some Dawg fans for sure though.

Thought about trapping, but my neighbor has this ole beagle that walks around free. Afraid to get her caught in a trap, or at least the kind of traps I am thinking. There are lots of wildlike aka ducks, and again neighbor's dog, to limit my trapping options.
I think I can get up high on a ladder by the edge of lake, when I shoot down the angle of shot will not lead it to bounce across the lake. I would just look like an idiot out there - not too conspicuous. Other ideas?

Could be a muskrat also. Which does have a hunting season (Thanksgiving-March 1). However, you can get a free depredation permit (no hunting license required) to kill them on your land, as they can cause damage to pond dams, the vegetation, and fish population. I live in a neighborhood with a golf course that naturally has a few ponds. They have a permit and usually have 1 or 2 days a year they shoot them. Other times, they set traps/try to poison them. Plus their fur is pretty valuable and you can get around $10 a pelt if you choose to sell it.
