I took a low expectations approach to this season because I didn't think Frank had enough talent to make a run at a postseason berth, but I'm starting to think he can get us in the NIT if we continue to improve. I think the SEC is too mediocre this year to have any hopes for an NCAA bid, but it isn't beyond the realm of possibility that we could win the SEC Tournament to get a bid. We really seem to be improving.

But its all good... every person on that court wants to be there, and they're giving it their all and actually getting some results!

We'd better hold on tight to Coach Martin. He's something special. I wish we could just play like this every game. I know it's not always possible to maintain such great shooting, but we took care of things that we CAN always control today. We didn't make dumb mistakes, we didn't turn the ball over, and we played great defense. If the tough shots fall too, that's just gravy on top. I was very impressed. Coach Martin is the real deal.

We did have 17 turnovers, but we also had 17 assists.
We shot so well, the turnovers never hurt us.

Good shooting usually cures all ills on the basketball court.

Watching the game this morning for the first time, and the first 5 1/2 minutes were horrible.
Down by 12 and then FM calls a timeout. I can't believe the difference FM was able to make with one 30 second timeout. The team stepped it up and went on a 20-2 run so far. WOW. That's what I call a great use of a timeout. I also mentioned earlier about the Lithuanians needing to contribute more, well I take that back..Their doing their part. Well.

I can't tell if there are 2 groups of folks posting on here: one after a win, another after a loss. Some of you guys are consistent, but others seem to just look at scores and rant or rave. This game was excellent in that we shot very well and rebounded like men. But 17 turnovers sucks and free throws still a little sad. Frank Martin has a huuuuge part in these kinds of wins. But he is coaching just as well in our losses, so gotta give it up for him then too. We are still a very limited team as far as skilled talent, even if we fight harder than most other teams.

Someone said we'd be awesome if we still had holloway gill and harris. We might also still have Horn if that was true, so maybe not.

So are folks gonna still be positive after Florida beats us up? If we blow another late lead, are we still going to say we folded? Let's get behind our guys like this when we shoot 35% too. Because that's going to happen a few more times, and it's not due to lack of effort. /End lecture

I loved how we got out and really pushed the ball in transition. We got a ton of points of Arky's missed baskets before they could set up their defense

Florida has an excellent team - I want to see us play hard for 40 minutes and see what happens.

With Frank's ties to Florida/Miami high schools, a win @ Florida would be huuuuuge for recruiting down the line.

I like our chances of being fired up. If we can stay out of foul trouble and can some threes off the drive and dish, you never know. College basketball is predictably unpredictable.

Agree, that is why I do not like to play what if....here is one, if O'neal and Garnett do not go pro straight out of high school...lol

I hope this team does not take a step back, continues to work hard on the defensive side of the ball since coach Martin actually has some very good weapons on that side of the court, and if they continue to grow into roles on the offensive side of the ball we should be competitive with most teams. No matter what I will hold my head up with them, back them up and cheer them on.
