I have a ph.d. and vocabulary that excedes adequate but curse regularly. the two are related only in maxim. A more parsimonious explanation is that the poster does not share your religious views, which is his prerogative. if he cursed in your church or at anyone, different story, but not sharing the same reverence for a particular diety while on a message board, well I'd say at least his choice of media was appropriate.
