Adults come into a public sub-forum dedicated to 18 and under males deciding which college to go to, up to and including tracking their visits, their hosts, how their stays went, their favorites so far, distance from front door to campus, driving time, flying time, relatives in the immediate area, legacy family members who may have a connection to the university, coaching relationships with current/former staff, girlfriends and/or children, and of course, all things academic like GPA, test scores, etc, all the while believing that the recruits come on the boards to read their opinions.

But tweeting them is where some people draw the line...not quite sure what the difference is to be honest.

Perhaps they are a cumulative effect. ESPN should have reported three scholarships in 2013 and 6 in 2014 from the 85 total limit to be clear, but that wouldn't be the first thousandth time their reporting lacked clarity.

"Reduction of initial football scholarships by three (from the 25 maximum) during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 academic years (self-imposed by the university). "

Flipped to Clemson.

DB Marcus Edmond of Lower Richland went into his official visit at Clemson this weekend with plans on committing, and he did. Edmond said last week he would flip to Clemson from NC State and he did that this morning at the conclusion of his visit. "I always wanted to go to Clemson," Edmond said. Another major factor in his decision was new Clemson secondary coach Mike Reed had recruited him to State and they two have a strong relationship. Clemson plans to play Edmond at cornerback though he's a versatile enough athlete to play multiple spots. Last season as a quarterback at LR he passed for 1230 yards and 14 touchdowns and rushed for 858 yards and 10 touchdowns. On defense he totaled 46 tackles and 4 interceptions. Edmond becomes the 17th member of the Tigers' 2013 recruiting class and the fourth for the secondary.

I agree lets talk about the recruit instead of the language people use to express their desire for us to have him on the team. such silliness. generalized or otherwise. I apologize for my tangent to all of those who were actually discussing the recruit.

The recruitment of five-star linebacker Reuben Foster (Auburn, Ala.) is not nearly as unpredictable as Alexander’s. Foster has been thought to be heading to one of three programs- Auburn, Georgia or Alabama- for some time now. What was interesting is that following his official visit to Athens this past weekend, Foster announced he would be committing on the Monday before signing day. This is a major surprise to folks in the recruiting media (and probably a relief) as many speculated that perhaps his decision would go beyond Feb. 6. At this point, it’s likely Auburn or UGA, give a slight edge to the Tigers because of proximity to home and the fact he was committed there for so long.

We knew that 247Composite five-star cornerback Mackensie Alexander (Immokalee, Fla.) was unpredictable, so it did not come as a complete shock when he showed up at Auburn for an official visit this past weekend. The Tigers did make an impression on Alexander, according to Bryan Matthews of AuburnUndercover, and now find themselves squarely in the mix to land the confident corner. One thing to consider that makes a lot of sense. Clemson has been at or near the top for Alexander from the day he became a national-level prospect. Current Auburn defensive backs coach Charlie Harbison, part of Gus Malzahn’s all-new staff on the plains, came from Clemson. Alexander noted that Harbison has been recruiting him for almost a year and a half. Could that tip the scales in Auburn’s direction. Alexander’s brother, Mackenro Alexander, has a committable offer from Auburn and will officially visit next weekend.

LB Tyrell Lyons of Jacksonville, FL has finished his official visit to USC and headed back home. Lyons has been committed to Florida State and said that has not changed. "I did not commit (to USC)," Lyons said. "It was alright, it was sweet," he said of the visit. Lyons has been committed to the Seminoles since February. This season he had 63 tackles with 5 sacks and 5 tackles for loss.

If it weren't for a Spanish class, LB Tyrell Lyons of Jacksonville, FL would be enrolled at Florida State right now. According to his coach at First Coast High School Marty Lee, Lyons, who had committed to the Seminoles in February, wanted to enroll at mid-term but needed one more semester of Spanish, so he had to return to the high school for the spring. That, and the change of linebacker coaches at Florida State, gave USC a chance to move in on Lyons and get in the picture. Lyons visited USC over the weekend. "Coach Spurrier Jr. does a great job recruiting our area," coach Lee said. "Florida State was one of the first schools to get on him. The previous linebackers coach, he wasn't close to. The new linebackers coach (at FSU) has made a difference." Lee expects to see Lyons Monday afternoon to get an update on his thinking. Last season Lee had 63 tackles with 5 sacks. "There's a lot of upside to him," his coach said. "He can play in the open field and play inside. His motor runs 100%." Lee also was offered by Clemson, Miami, Louisville and North Carolina.

DL Montravius Adams of Vienna, GA made his official visit to Georgia over the weekend and remains up in the air with his decision. Adams told ESPN.com he does not have a favorite after four visits. The others were to Clemson, Florida and Alabama. Adams said he will visit Auburn this coming weekend. He plans to make his decision known on National Signing Day.
