No, Devin Taylor is often graded low because he plays "high" according to the scouts.

That is the surprise to me. Ace is good, but he is a specialized need as a slot receiver/returner and the second of those is being regulated out of the pro game more and more.

But someone not drafting Marcus until the 5th is silly...no way he falls that low. Everyone else, it's a good possibility.

But...if we won 11 games in the SEC and aren't losing a bunch of high-round talent...that's good news for us. And bad news for our opponents.

I'm no Mel Kiper...but I don't know what the heck scouts are looking at if they don't see DJ Swearinger being drafted in the 1st 4 rounds!?!? I sure hope my 9'ers take him. Would love to see Cully and DJ in the same secondary again. He's definitely a Jim Harbaugh type of guy!

I thought someone said the Texans already said if Latti is still there in the 3rd they are taking him. I agree about DJ. Guy will blow up the combine imo.

A lot will change after the combine. I don't see Lattimore not getting into the first four rounds but I wouldn't be shocked if he's the only guy to go at that point.

I am willing to bet that Indianapolis is going to take Lattimore with their 2nd pick, and that DJ is going to go in the first 3 rounds. Taylor in the first 2, and I also think TJ Johnson has a real shot of going high in the draft. He is very underrated.

"Walter Football" has no real credibility. It's just some dude with a website. Since I watch the draft every year, I have just as much credibility, so I predict:

Ace and Marcus both go in round 3. Marcus could sneak into round 2 if some team is willing to roll the dice, but given his good recent prognosis (and thanks in part to Adrian Peterson's amazing comeback), he won't slip past round 3.

DJ Swearinger will go in round 4.

Devin Taylor, Justice Cunningham, and Bryon Jerideau will all get drafted in rounds 4 - 7. The order in which those three are drafted and the round in which they are drafted depends on how well they perform at the combine and in private workouts, but all three will get drafted and make NFL rosters.

TJ Johnson has a shot at being a late pick (7th round), but if he doesn't get selected, he'll get a free agent tryout and will also make an NFL roster. He started for 4 years in the trenches in the SEC, and he's capable of earning a spot.

Akeem Auguste and Devonte Holloman will also get free agent tryouts. They have a fighting chance at landing roster spots.

In all, I'm predicting that 6 or 7 Gamecocks will be drafted and that at least 7 will make NFL rosters. I'm choosing to err on the side of optimism, but that scenario is very possible, in my opinion.

I wish all of the players above (and any other Gamecocks who are granted tryouts) the absolute best. Go get it, guys.

Wait until after the combine and see where players like Ace, DJ, and Big Byron end up then. Lattimore is still a wait and see situation.
