A lot of people confuse quickness for speed. Sanders gets by on being shifty and making moves but he's not super fast. Even being ranked as the #20 receiver his return ability will move him higher in the draft than the pure receivers but there is virtually no chance he goes in the second round.

His jitter literally makes you have to guess which way he will come out of it. He lines up a tackler and breaks the way he's not leaning quick as crap. Best example I can remember is the move he puts on Michigan's punter to beat the last man. Shimmy, hard cut, and never looks like he slowed down. Just crazy acceleration out of his cuts, then average top end speed. But really makes defenders play disciplined. The cut he makes at :20 seconds makes the punter's beanbag draw up like he's still in Ann Arbor:

Honestly I wish him the best.
Steve Smith was drafted as a returner as a little guy, and he made his way to being the face of a franchise and a Pro Bowler at receiver. Hope the same happens for Ace.
