LB Tyrell Lyons of Jacksonville, FL has not made his decision as of Wednesday afternoon according to First Coast High School coach Marty Lee. Lee said he saw Lyons with Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher at the school before he had to leave and Lyons had not given him any new information. USC coach Steve Spurrier met with Lyons Tuesday. "He's going to go home and talk to his parents," coach Lee said. "He may not have a decision until Signing Day."

According to two sources, Clemson apparently has backed off of taking quarterback Asaintii Woulard of Winter Park, FL. Woulard's father said today they've not heard from Clemson in a few days and that has him wondering the same thing. Mike Woulard went on to say that in his opinion, his son was favoring Clemson over UCLA. He visited UCLA last weekend. "I kind of think he wants to come to Clemson to be honest with you, but we'll see. I think that's where he wants to go. I don't want to speak for him because I really don't know. He kind of likes that offense. It's pass oriented, too. He's got that same kind of game as Tajh (Boyd). He's been a big fan of the program for a long time." Woulard is planning to announce a decision on Signing Day.

The Prospect - The No. 2 dual-threat quarterback in the class, and the No. 98 ranked prospect overall.
The Decision - What looked to be a key get for Clemson one week ago is now looking quite good for UCLA after an official visit last weekend. Unless South Florida or Kentucky can pull a last minute upset, the Bruins will continue their strong January finish. The Pick - UCLA

USF thought they had their signal caller of the future in Asiantti Woulard. He committed early to the Bulls and then head coach Skip Holtz. But Woulard opened things back up and it now seems like he’s leaving the state. Woulard sounded as if he had a great visit out west to UCLA this past weekend. He has also visited Kentucky, Clemson and N.C. State. Woulard has also made an unofficial trip to see Willie Taggart and his Bulls. By all accounts he could very well be the Bruins to lose at this point but keep an eye on the others, especially Kentucky

DL Keith Bryant of Delray Beach, FL had two major revelations Monday night. #1: "I've already made up my mind where I want to go," he said. When pressed, Bryant backed up a little bit. "Out of a 100, it's a 65-70. Anything can happen." #2: "Why people think Miami has fallen out?" he asked. "Miami is just as much in the mix," as USC and Florida State. Bryant made his official visit to USC over the weekend. He did not meet with any coaches Monday but did talk on the phone with Florida State and Miami. Bryant said he's expecting to meet with head coaches this week with Florida State in Wednesday, USC Thursday and Miami Friday. And he's still planning to visit Florida Atlantic this weekend. He is scheduled to announce on Signing Day.

Bryant committed early in the recruiting process only to back off that pledge some time ago. It appears that this defensive tackle prospect could end up in Tallahassee and play for Florida State. If not, Steve Spurrier and South Carolina have made a nice run at this south Florida standout. It’s not out of the question he could re-commit and sign with Miami. There’s some talk he could visit FAU this weekend

The Decision - Alexander made a surprise visit to Auburn last weekend, and now his bother will follow suit this weekend. For what has been a recruitment that has been nearly impossible to get a read on in months, it now looks like this one will likely come down to Clemson and Auburn with Mississippi State still holding out hope. Should the 5-foot-10, 180-pound Alexander choose Auburn, the hiring of former Clemson assistant Charlie Harbison could be the main reason. The Pick - Auburn

Ah, the mystery man of this season is none other than the talented Mackensie Alexander. This super cornerback prospect wants to find a home where he can play right away and he would love to stay as close to home as possible. So far he has made official visits to Texas A&M, Clemson, Mississippi State, and Auburn. He has one more visit left and there’s a chance he could trip to West Virginia or Rutgers or perhaps stay in-state and check out USF or Miami. Pay close attention to what his brother Mackenro is up to. He visited West Virginia this weekend and Mississippi State last weekend. The two obviously want to play college ball together. To speculate what Alexander will do is too difficult. In fact you mine as well put the schools on a wall and throw a dart to pick one.

In recent weeks I have mentioned that the recruitment of four-star Mackensie Alexander was one of the more chaotic of any in the country. At that time, he seemed set to officially visit Rutgers last weekend and then he was rumored to be visiting South Florida. So when he actually ended up at Auburn, it wasn't much of a surprise. Alexander has one visit left, but nobody, including probably himself, knows if he will take that visit this weekend. Whatever his decision is for the weekend, it's a safe assumption that National Signing Day will have a number of schools on edge as they wait for Alexander's Letter of Intent

The Prospect - The No. 4 wide receiver in the class and the No. 56 ranked prospect overall.
The Decision - Most in the Sunshine State have expected the 6-foot-1, 175pound gifted receiver to stay close to home, and that certainly looks to be the case. Coley visited South Florida last weekend following a trip to Florida State Jan. 18 and Miami Dec. 7. While the Hurricanes and Bulls have given it their best shot, it looks like the Seminoles are the team to beat as signing day draws near. The Pick -Florida State

Coley is the state’s top wide receiver and one of the top recruits at his position in the country. Like some others already mentioned this one could come down to Florida State and Miami. For the ‘Noles it’s a good thing Seminole wide receiver coach Lawrence Dawsey picked up the recruiting torch after the season. He has FSU still in it and it’s too close to call between these two bitter rivals. James Coley taking the Miami offense coordinator position only helps the Hurricanes here. If there is a dark horse it’s South Florida. Don’t sleep on the Bulls

Granted they won't keep up with Ohio State or Michigan.

It may be but they don't get those highly rated guys. They may land one here and there but that's about it. Maryland is basically a total rebuild right now. Just two years ago they had several starters that left the Team. That does not look like a Program ready to compete anytime soon imo.

The Decision - The former Florida commitment has made official visits to Auburn and Kentucky the last two weekends. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Hearns is considered to be a safe bet for the Wildcats, who are poised to finish relatively strong under first-year head coach Mark Stoops. The Pick- Kentucky

Hearns has worked himself into an academic corner where really the University of Kentucky is the only viable option at this point. Someone could always jump in late and challenge the Wildcats.

Quinton Powell was a long time commitment to Florida before opening things back up a few weeks ago. Since, he has visited South Carolina and Southern Cal. It’s a two-team race between the Gators and Trojans. Before you say he’s going to re-commit to Will Muschamp and the Gators remember this – he’s from the same school as Leonard Williams. If you don’t remember Williams he’s the big time defensive end prospect from the 2012 class that shocked the recruiting world and signed with Lane Kiffin and USC. Powell said on twitter Monday night that he was having a difficult time with the decision

The Decision - The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Elder has had one of the more interesting recruitments in the class, mainly because of the basketball factor and the hopes of high-major hoops offers that would have likely ended his football career. As of today, it looks like it will be two sports at the next level with Auburn set to get the last crack Nov. 30 following official visits to Ohio State (Jan. 11) and UCLA (Nov. 16). Auburn jumped into the game late, but the Tigers managed to convince four-star athlete Cornelius Elder to take an official visit Wednesday and Thursday. After the visit to Auburn, he will then take his last visit this weekend to Georgia Tech. Ohio State is also still in the game, but that might depend on what Dontre Wilson and James Clark decide to do; UCLA is a long shot. Meanwhile, Purdue has offered Elder the opportunity to play basketball. This is Elder's best basketball offer to date, and it is something that means a great deal to him, but without being able to take an official visit to West Lafayette, it's difficult to see the Boilermakers as a viable option. Elder wanted to go to Ohio State, according to sources, so it will be interesting to see who the Buckeyes end up with. If they strike out on Wilson and Clark, it might be too late to get back in on Elder.
