Tennessee head coach Butch Jones, who brought his entire defensive staff for an in-home visit with Bell last week, will meet with Ridgeland head coach Mark Mariakis for dinner Thursday evening.
“We didn’t get to spend any time together when he was in town last week,” Mariakis said. “He said he just wanted to discuss the direction he’s taking the program.
“For him to call and say he wanted to sit down with me for dinner and begin building a relationship is impressive. It’s something that hadn’t been done before with previous UT staffs, so for him to take time out of his busy schedule just to meet with me says a lot about him.”

The real winner if we get close with a couple of LB is Kirk Botkin. I have never doubted his ability to coach, but there are some who have questioned his recruiting skills. In fairness to him, coming to a new area where his name is not well known makes it tough to recruit. If we can pull a couple of these LB's, I know that will give him and everyone else a boost of confidence....not to mention smiles on everyone's faces.

I read that tweet. He also said "USC is done." I guess he was implying that our little run of success is over because we don't have a running game anymore. I will agree our running game was rather weak this year due to poor offensive-line play at times and with Lattimore getting hurt, but we still managed to win 11 games without a running game. Either way, that guy is an idiot because our running game is completely irrelevant when recruiting a LB.
