I have a sense our coaches told them first two to commit win, which could be why they are all "confused"

Isn't it kind of like telling your girl friend that you're silently committed to her but I'm going to play around, but trust me you're my favorite. How many schools think they have the same silent commit?

There are times a highly rated recruit may want his teammates to get attention and they can feel that they'll get more attention if he has not verbally committed. It's also been said that in some settings it tends to reduce the amount of negative recruiting that can go on, as coaches from other schools can direct all of their efforts to tearing down the school the recruit has verbally committed to.

With DE Kendal Vickers not likely qualifying academically, we should have 3 spots left. Im sure Bryant and Ngakoue are oversigns.

Yeah if he goes to FSU I hope we don't have posters ripping our Staff over it. Our Coaches have done everything possible here.

It also sometimes helps to silently commit to out of state schools because of peer and community pressure...they typically want you to stay home

I'm thinking we take 3 if we get 3 of these 4 top targets to commit, 4 if there's a surprise. Likely can count-back 2 of the EE's. If we don't get 3 of these, I'm guessing we take 22 and are done. Last days, you can certainly get surprised.

With respect to the cap of 22 LOIs, we have 5 more slots available since Park, Mitch and Vickers will not sign LOIs. 20 current commits minus 3 (Park, Mitch & Vickers) = 17. 22-17 = 5 available but that means that we have less room for 2014. My understanding was the staff only wanted to take 2 more in order to carry 2-3 over to 2014. Separately, in August, we will have to figure out how to get / stay under 82 total scholly limit.

Yes the numbers will be interesting. As far as the 2014 class is concerned, I'm beginning to be more inclined to the old saying that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, if you know what I mean.

Just doesn't make sense to me. You may be completely right, but if he was a silent commit to us since before December 7th (when Jr. made the comment) and he was just after a little publicity then it seems like he would have announced at the Under Armour game. But I guess who knows.
