I agree - Florida has been killing EVERY team lately. They beat a ranked Missouri team by 31.

Considering our best overall player(Malik Cooke) graduated, and 2 of our most talented players transferred.... No one in their right mind thought we would be much better than this... My goal all year was to end up with a winning record.... 4 more conference wins, and we will be 16-15 going into the SEC-T.... Pretty good considering the situation Coach Martin inherited.

Agreed. When I watch our team, I do see improvement in most of our players from last year to this year. That's what good coaching should do. When Frank gets his program established & more talented players in here is when we will see things really take off. Think back to when Dawn took over the women's team. It is a very similar situation. Patience!

I don't understand how a team like Miss. State seems to be somewhat improving. With the roster and lack of depth they have... I guess it's just because we played UF and they are owning everyone. We did throttle Arkansas who I didn't believe was a push over before that game and still don't think they are. We need to beat UGA though in response to that UF beatdown.

As much as Florida destroyed us and everyone else in the SEC. I still think they struggle against better OOC opponents.

The team IS improving. There is no possible way we'd have beaten Arkansas, much less the way we did, had we played them in December - even with Ellington at that time. When we're not completely outmatched, we're competitive and we should start winning the close games if the pace of progress holds up.

It's a lot like Dawn Staley's first year with a similar rate of progress - slow but noticeable. I think it's the hallmark of a good coach - building the foundation of a winning team culture that can sustain itself via the players themselves.

We all demand to see improvement from game to game, but that's just not the nature of the sport. Basketball is talent-driven more so than just about any major sport I can think of. Kentucky winning last year's national championship is evidence of that. Get the most elite high school players out there with good coaching, and you can experience success relatively quickly. We cannot recruit like Kentucky nor do we have the history/appeal and resources they do. Anyone who expected us to be instant winners was crazy. Gradual improvement leads to sustained success, and Coach Martin will have us there in due time. Patience, Patience, Patience
