I have a general question. I know that junior days are big recruiting events, but I do not understand if/how they differ from OVs. Or camps for that matter. Someone wanna educate a fella?

An OV is a trip that the school is allowed to pay for the entire trip for the prospect and you normally see the red carpet rolled out in a huge way. A prospect is allowed 5 OVs and can't have more than 1 to any school so when you have a highly rated kid at an OV you have to make it count.

A Junior Day is basically setting up a massive amount of UVs for the prospects you are going after on the same day. The term Junior Day also means these are set up before the beginning of these players Senior year. These are great for getting you in the game with a wide variety of prospects, gauging their interest in your school, and educating them in what you have to offer.

A camp is where you actually get to work the prospects out by running them through position drills without pads. This is used as a way to get these players on campus with the promise of getting some college tutelage from the coaching staff. It is also a great way to identify under the radar prospects and you normally see us offer a kid that no one had any idea about and see him commit on the spot every year.

I never count on Jr day public commits. The kids nowadays like attention, and a silent or two may go down. One kid, whose mom is super involved, probably won't publicly commit either (she wants him to take all 5 OVs so he makes sure he is 100% Gamecock). Having said all of this, several kids might come out publicly-cannot predict what a teenager will do.

junior day is wrapping up/wrapped up as most kids have left campus.

I don't believe anyone has committed although many of the same kids have been consistent with saying USC leads.
