Maybe we should start to rethink the entire Cam Newton situation. He was good his first year, but is he even trying anymore?

Cam finished the season around 17 TD's one turnover over the last 5-6 games. Cam is not the problem. The OL sucks, and the defense still needs more game changers. The coaching isn't good either. Cam had a good season, it started off slow, but he really improved over the second half of the season.

We won't have much longer with Cam anyway...he's gone after his rookie contract is up. I've been saying that since we signed him. The kid wants to play for a winner and it's not going to happen at Carolina as long as Richardson is around.

Carolina has a 5th year option and then have the franchise tag for another year. Cam isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Well if that's true he could still be with Car for another 4 years, that's awhile. If we can turn it around before then tho, I don't see why he won't sign a extension. We lost 5-7 of our games this year by less than 7 points. I put the coaches at the top of that list to why were losing. If we would have won just three of those 7 games, we would have been in the playoffs possibly. The team needs work yes, but its not lost. We have a good young QB to build around, and good backs on offense. The OL needs work. As far as defense we have two really good DE's, and a good LB core. The secondary does need some new faces.

I wanted Ingram over Kuechly, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. One really, really good pick doesn't undo so many bad ones they have made, and a lot of the "experts" thought Ingram would've been a better pick at that spot too, but I'm obviously glad Kuechly is the one we ended up with.
