Sorry I've been pennying all day. A few players have told the staff they would like to talk over a commitment with their parents and again. I have no reason to lie. This is a message board. What do I gain from lying. A confidence boost? Sorry my confidence is in God I don't need an ego boost from the internet. And apparently there are three guys from the state of Georgia who are friends who were loving the idea of playing here

You seem to pride yourself in having inside information, but it seems like it is wrong a great percentage of the time.

Some people here appreciate getting tidbits of information. Whether you like it or not, SGF has given out some good info in the past...much more than you or some of the other naysayers here.

No one is going to be right every time with the whims of 17 and 18 year olds. But guys like you and some of the others attacked and ran off a good poster like Six Stars because a kid changed his mind.

If you don't like SGF's posts, don't read them. But there's no sense in attacking him and possibly shutting down a source of info for the readers here who appreciate it.

peterlemon, that is true. Add to the that he has been caught stretching the truth before (see: Louisville) and it becomes hard to believe him.

But we should not really put him down, we should just take what he says with a grain of salt and keep moving.

Also, I would not compare SGF and six stars. That is like saying the national enquirer and associated press are on the same level.

Then you two should start using the freaking ignore function on SGF and quit stirring the pot. You add nothing other than criticism and jealousy and it is annoying to read. If you continue to feel the need to criticize someone who tries to provide info on teenager's wishes, college recruiting is not for you. I wish that c2 would ban people who only criticize other payees from posting in the PG

If Dabo was handling the recruitment of these guys, I guarantee that he would have gotten four - five commitments before they left campus. That is because he would have done the "We are family" cult brainwashing thingy/time share closing pitch hard sell on them. The same guys would have gotten away from the upstate and started thinking. "Gee, that place is in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do. If they are family, why is there no diversity and why do they have to talk so much about it so much to convince people? If they are really elite in football and academics, why doesn't anyone outside of their campus consider them to be elite? Why did the guy with the funny looking ears and name act so goofy and try to be a cheerleader?"

We do it the right way - we tell kids to go home and think about it before they commit, maybe even look around a little. It is a fact that we have fewer decommits than Clemson because of this approach. I think SGF is right - we probably did have some recruits ready to commit, and they may have even silently committed to the staff. Give it a few days, and some good news will start to filter out.

BOT: Looking around at other SEC E schools, most only have about 4 commits at this point. I would be disappointed if we did not pick up a few over the next couple of weeks. SC is a treasure trove of talent this year, and I would expect us to lock some of these low hanging fruit early.

If we have kids that have dreamed of playing here, why wouldn't we lock them down early and get them to help recruit others. This recruiting class will be monumental for the continued success of this program. We need to bring in the next Clowney, Marcus, ect. The stars are aligned, we have the talent in our back yard, SOS should simply put on his best Bob Barker suit and udder the phrase: "Come on Down"

If I recall, I believe we only had one commit on Junior Day last year and that was Gerald Turner.

Timing was interesting for this year's junior day. I don't think we ever had one days before NSD.

With so many recruits picking us as their clear leader, I really thought we may have a couple early commits, especially after looking at the list of 30+ recruits with offers coming into town.

We are hosting two more Junior days in the spring. Great time to get more recruits to the campus, take in spring practices and scrimmage game.

I dont know SGF but he is right sometimes as well. His "tidbits" could be what he hears from his source but nothing is concrete with these kids, their minds are like the wind. Quite frankly, I'm very happy that we improved/helped our position with many of the guys yesterday. Out of the +30, seemed like we are the leader for at least half of them, and I think we have another JR day coming up in March. I would much prefer that they look around early before committing to us because they are far less likely to decommit later in the year if they do that. I wish the NCAA would establish a rule that a kid couldn't commit until after their junior year.

There's a good reason why we're winning now, and it all starts with recruiting the right kids and recruiting the right way.
