I was trolling TigerNet to see what they were saying regarding Adams, and came across this little nugget of an article regarding a recruit's question to Dabo regarding the SEC. Couple of things that I found humorous were: 1.) Dabo having to use Kentucky as the example when he was trying to give an example of an SEC team that's not that successful at this time, 2.) Dabo saying that Clemson plays an SEC schedule, and 3.) the fact that Dabo was obviously trying to trash the SEC, but then the recruit says that non of the SEC schools has done any negative recruiting.

He also does realize Clemson isn't the ACC champ doesn't he? He tells the kid Clemson is the best team in the SEC. And completely agree about bringing Kentucky up and saying they basically play in the SEC because of the schedule. Can someone remind me the last time they played 3 straight top 10 teams with 2 being on the road? Anyone? Didn't think so.

NM. I think the difference between winners and losers is hiring the right guy. Compare LSU pre and post Saban and UF pre and post spurrier. Both had all of the same advantages before.

There is a LOT to be said for that, for sure. Alabama was down a good deal in the late 90's and early 2000's. But there are some built in advantages/disadvantages that get taken into account. When we have a down year in South Carolina for D1 talent it is an uphill climb. Our staff did an amazing job this year.

I think we get the most 4 and 5 star talent we can find close by. Then we really really evaluate the character and work ethic of the 3 and 2 star guys. Look at that latest 3 star linebacker we picked up, Walton. He has good size and good strength, but he's not a standout nationally athletically, although he looks pretty fast on film. He is however a standout in his attitude and personality. Not many big strong LB prospects out there like that kid. Those are the guys that end up being Shaq Wilson or MI6. Guys like that keep this team disciplined and playing with heart.

He said in another tweet that it doesn't mean Keith is going to FSU, but why would you help a school that you aren't going to attend?

Who knows how legit this is? The real question is if this puts the 'forecast' for Keith Bryant to the Gamecocks below 70%?
