I would be VERY surprised if you see a lot of Shon Carson in the OF early. He'll be very useful as a pinch runner/hitter for the early part of the season in my opinion.

It looked to me like Wynkoop got knocked around pretty good by the hitters on Sunday. At least I think it was him - they don't wear jerseys where the numbers are large enough to read.

I had thought of doing a report on today's scrimmage, but it's kinda hard to see who is who when only a few players had numbers on their jerseys. I did see that Shon Carson and Ahmad Christian were playing in CF and RF on the same team through the whole scrimmage. Kwinton Smith was the other RF. Kwinton struggled at the plate until he hit a line drive out to Christian in his final at bat. Greiner had a nice hit and someone had a double just before that, may have been LB. The funniest play was when Carson hit a triple past Kwinton in right then stumbled over the bag at second and did a head-first tumbling roll only to spring up and make it safely to third. He may have been too fast for his own good rounding second! It was a funny sight only because he didn't get hurt. I must admit I held my breath as he went into that cannonball roll.

Pretty much dominated by pitching. Greiner went 4-5, ahmad Christian went 3-4, and Vergason had a 2b, not much hitting other than that. Visitors won 3-0. Holmes and Montgomery started and pitched very well. Shrock played well at 2nd for freshman.

Ahmad Christian has been tearing it up from what ive read/heard. Heard good things about Carson as well.

Has English learned to hit a breaking ball yet?!

Is it just me or am I crazy by saying how are we going to lose a series with these lineups? Now we have some stellar batting and speed out the wazoo. And lets not forget about Kyle Martin!
