The info is wrong on this kid. He is one of the top recruit in the state as a DT. Schools are going crazy over this kid. We will be crazy not to land him before Alabama or LSU grab him. He comes from Carvers Bay High School, same as Clifton Geathers.

I dont think its our choice to just "grab him". The decision is his. Should we recruit the kid? Probably

Yeah I figured the ESPN Bio was wrong because they have him listed as a 2013 prospect. Thanks for the info and I updated the OP.

The season ended Friday night for Carvers Bay and standout junior DL Naquez Pringle (6-3 291) with an upset loss to Hemingway. However, the recruiting interest t in Pringle is just beginning and will continue to grow in the off season and into next year. Pringle went to camps at Clemson and USC last summer and was offered by both. And he's been to both for games this season. Alabama, LSU and Mississippi State are also showing a lot of interest. "He's kind of laid back right now and not stressing about it," said Carvers Bay coach Nate Thompson. "He'll attend some junior days. It's kind of hard to read him on a favorite." Pringle plays defensive tackle and noseguard. "He's one of those kids that can take charge," his coach said. "He has good feet and hands and knows how to engage and disengage."

Carvers Bay is near Georgetown and close to Hemingway. Clifton and Carlton "basketball" are also from Carvers Bay. They produce decent talent for football. They are 1-A and play Hemingway, Johnsonville my school, Aynor,"TJ Johnson" and some good schools. Good talent comes out of small schools. Also have seen this kid play when Carvers Bay played in Hemingway and he was VERY VERY impressive! Need to pick him up, as I think we will because he doesn't wanna be far away from home.

Carvers Bay coach Nate Thompson said his junior DL Naquez Pringle has offers from Clemson and USC and was at the rivalry game last month. Both schools have had recruiters come by the school this week. LSU, Alabama, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Ohio State were by the school in the spring and are showing interest.

Junior DL Naquez Pringle (6-1 280) of Carvers Bay will attend USC's junior day Saturday with his parents and siblings. USC and Clemson are his two offers and Pringle said the Gamecocks have been pushing for him a little more to this point. "Coach Spurrier (Jr.) is on my case," Pringle said. "Every time he sees me he's like all down on me." USC and Clemson coaches have been by the school to check on Pringle who is also drawing interest from LSU and Georgia Tech. Clemson has also invited him to a junior day. Pringle said he has no favorite between the in-state schools but likes the fact he has the option to stay in state. "It's a pretty easy decision about where I want to go so I can be close to home," he said. Pringle is not sure when he'll make a decision. "It's got to be a special moment when I feel the time is right,:" he said. "I'm just waiting to hear the right words. I can't say what the words are, but it's something that I'm waiting on." Pringle did not rule out the possibility of a USC commitment this weekend though he indicated that was not likely.

DL Naquez Pringle of Carvers Bay attended USC's junior day and took the opportunity to experience some things he hadn't on earlier visits. "It was something different than before," he said. "The new (DL) coach is there. I liked him. from the time I me him. He seems like he's ready to start his career at South Carolina." Pringle also spent time with his recruiter Steve Spurrier Jr. "He just loved me to death," he said. "He walked up on me one time and punched me in the back." Pringle also spoke briefly with Steve Spurrier. USC and Clemson remain his two offers and he plans to visit Clemson for its next junior day. He also wants to visit LSU. Pringle said USC and Clemson remain on top for him with no favorite.

Pringle and Wideman, if it happens, would be a hell of a haul at DT.

You have to wonder who we take because we have so many highly regarded DTs that like us. Leaders for Widerman, Pringle, and Ford and in the top group for Russell. I personally think we take 3.
