And as usual, it is with a Carnival ship. Now I know why I only sail on Royal Caribbean.

Cruising is a classic example of getting what you pay for. And there's a reason Carnival is cheap.

This ship used to leave out of Charleston. My family and my wife's family took a cruise on this ship in 09 to the Bahamas.

I have a relative that used to be a cruise director for a cruise line not named Carnival and always use to laugh at Carnival and say that it was the cheapest cruise line out there for a reason. Said the food was microwaved.

The only cruise I have ever been on was the Disney Cruise and that boat is unbelievable, and it isn't the newest and largest one

Trust me, the people stranded on the ship aren't enjoying it. Limited power, crappy food being shipped in, etc.

I cruised Carnival in 09 and had a great experience. Food was great, plenty of things to do, no complaints at all. And there are worse things that can happen to you than being stranded on a cruise ship.

Same here, I went on the Carnival Freedom with my uncle and cousin after graduation in 09 and I loved it. Idk where they may be cutting corners but I can't think of anything else they could have done to make it better.

I think Carnival is owned by the same people that own Princess Cruise Lines. So they have gotten better. The interior of their ships used to look like someone threw up on them....bright orange, etc.

It sounds like things are pretty nasty on board the ship. The AC is out, no restrooms, they can't cook, and so on.

Happens every time they lose main power. That's why I said earlier the passengers ain't enjoying this. But hey...they'll get vouchers for a future Carnival cruise...lol.

The non-working toilets would be the only thing that would bother me. I can go a day without eating, just give me some water and I'm good.

I've never been on a cruise and this story doesn't help my decision either.
