If I'm not mistaken, its based on W-L record from last year for all the teams eligible for the compensation pick.

We will have the 31st pick, unless Lohse signs, which would bump us to 32. Remember, we lost our own 1st rounder by signing Upton, so this will be our first pick in the draft.

I think we were picking like 28 anyways, so not exactly crippling.

Cleveland's offseason has been very weird. They just traded for Drew Stubbs. Traded for Trevor Bauer. Signed Nick Swisher and Bourn. Then they turn around and sign Jason Giambi. And still have no pitching.

Nah. That's typical for them. Load up on offense, they'll all get hurt. No pitching. You won't recognize half their team by the all star break.

That's true. Even when they'd make the World Series, they had the best offense and no pitching.

I will give it a shot.

The most awesome Braves season we've had in a long time was 2010, and the Georgia Tech fan started it. But I haven't seen him in a while.

Now I did start the offseason thread and we got the Upton brothers.
