We were inexperienced on the line in 2012. Robinson, Shell, Patrick all saw their first real action. Heck, I don't know if anyone even thought Robinson would play in 2012 and he ended up starting 8+ games or whatever.

Now with those 3 having a full year under the belt of actual game experience, a whole off season to get stronger, they should certainly improve.

Matulis has had shoulder problems, if we can redshirt him in 2013, I would like to see us try to do that.

I know we lost TJ and he was a hard worker/4 year starter but I think we'll be fine at Center with Waldrop.

I'm giving the OL a pass for the 2012 season because of inexperience. That won't be the case in 2013. It is time to line up and knock someone off the ball.

We will have way tooo much talent not to succeed as an OL this year. If we struggle again, time to look at the coach. That said, I believe we will be better.

I disagree with that thought as well.

Why? Because he is a true freshman that is not on campus yet. His ability to understand the offense and pass block will not be better than Brandon Wilds or Mike Davis. I can see Williams playing this year, I don't see him being the starting RB unless we have injuries at the position again. Does Walt realize "league play" is week 2 vs. UGA?

Brought along and nurtured by Marcus, Wilds demonstrated tremendous potential during 2011. I'm excited about the tandem of Wilds and Davis. If any other back is as good or better, wow, so long as they stay healthy we're going to be loaded in the backfield. I only hope that we learn to rotate our backs, use our depth, keep them fresh, and stop being as predictable.

Blocking will be what either keeps him on or off the field. I do feel like he will have some highlight reel runs this Fall camp though. He'll have the fanbase buzzing heading into the UNC game .. much like Shon Carson did is my prediction.

No way. He may get some PT at best. Of course I do hope he is that good but there are some heavy hitters in front of him right now at the RB position.

The problem is not with our players or our coaches. The problem is with the fans.

See, we have learned how to cheer properly for our D-linemen, but not our O-line. That makes all the difference in the world. I mean, how can we expect them to run block when we are getting the cheers all wrong?

I know Spurrier hasn't forgotten about him. Every single time he is asked or mentions something about the running backs he always talks about Mike a Brandon being a good one two punch and then says something like "we got this talented kid David Williams who is going to come in and compete right away".

I believe before the 2013 season is over, the top 2 RB will be Davis and Williams.
