*Incredibly, Angel received his first offer before he even got to high school. To date, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt have pulled the trigger. Th 6-feet-3, 225-pound Angel could play running back in college, though receiver, tight end and linebacker might all be possibilities as well. At the recent Memphis Nike Camp, he was solid at running back in blocking drills and at catching the ball. He's a big back, with good feet, that is difficult to bring down in the open field.

Angel is unquestionably one of the top prospects in the state of Tennessee, regardless of grade level. A freshman sensation last fall, Angel helped Wilson Central to a breakout 8-3 season within the loaded District 9-AAA. Angel rushed for 178 yards and 5 touchdowns on just 18 carries during his first year on the varsity. He also caught 7 passes for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns. Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee have already offered, while many others including Alabama are also showing high interest. At 6-foot-3, 225-pounds, Angel could play multiple positions at the next level, including running back, tight end, linebacker or even pass rushing defensive end. Angel has already attended several Vanderbilt events since his process began.
