2014 Commitment - Bryson Allen-Williams

I saw that..gonna be a fight like always we always fight for recruits. Going 22-4 in 2 seasons don't mean nothing apparently. I think we get him though a lonnnnnng way to go with this one.

I think our recent success has definitely caught the eyes of recruits. We just have to compete with UGA and FLA where all the talent is, and we are starting to have success in poaching some real quality recruits outside of our borders. This past class is a very good example, we just lacked the instate talent. One thing that has really helped us compete is our coaches ability to evaluate talent. I think we will get Williams as well.

I think our 2013 season will have a lot to do with where he decides.

So then it does mean something?

Anyways, we're still a long time from that class and so much can happen. No point in speculating what will happen with a 17 yr old kid over the next year. I thought Rolin was solid for a long time, but look what happened there.

I believe Williams and his mom have stated they really like Coach Ward. He is a huge factor for Williams decision. Also Williams and his mom really like USC's plan for Williams athletically and academically.

Yes, I've read that. I was asking henmania. The reason for my other post was GA seems to be gaining somewhat and BAW saying he was now going to wait till NSD.....so it seemed logical that how each team performs this fall will have an impact on his decision.

Yeah I agree it will have some impact, but I think his relationship with Ward and his moms influence will outweigh that. Williams said he is 60% USC, 20% Bama, 20% UGA. I think he ends up in the garnet and black in the end.

Per his Twitter account, @Watchout4_11, Allen-Williams stated, "New top 10: #SC, #UGA, #BAMA, #UF, #Vols , #Michigan, #Auburn, #Razorbacks, #Wisconsin , #NCState... In order." The Georgia linebacker has been a Gamecock lean for some time. His other offers include Clemson, Florida, Southern Cal, Washington, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, North Carolina, NC State, Duke and Missouri. Allen-Williams plans to announce his decision in August.

Look at the group of recruits we're in on.

Now compare them to the group we were in on 7 years ago.

It means something.

Lets go out and win the SEC championship and sit back and see what happens from a recruiting stand point. I will say this if all we can get is 3* and have 11-12 win seasons ill take it.

seems that way. I took it to mean that they both had SC in their top couple of teams. not that either had decided.

Allen-Williams explains top ten

LB Bryson Allen-Williams of Ellenwood, GA tweeted his 'new top ten' last week of USC, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Michigan, Auburn, Arkansas, Wisconsin and NC State in that order. "I picked my top ten by the schools that were showing me the most interest," he said. "I've built a good relationship with the coaches so that's why I chose them." Since then, things have gotten more complicated. "As soon as I put that out there, some schools that weren't in my top ten started hitting me up," said Allen-Williams. "Clemson is one of those schools and they're moving up (my list). I talked to the coaches and they want me to come up one Saturday so they can tell me their plans for how they're going to use me." The Gamecocks, however, still lead for his services. "It's going to be hard to knock them off because they were one of the first to offer me and they've been on me from the beginning," he said. "I've got a real good relationship with coach (Lorenzo) Ward." He plans to visit Alabama this weekend and USC March 23rd. Allen-Williams still plans to make his announcement in August.
