News flash dude... We DO play Georgia consistently. Last years game is an anomaly as we crushed them, but most of our games are close.

I always hated the way the fanbase tries to manufacture rivals. We have one, Clemson. UGA, Florida, UT are in our division, but if we played in the ACC would UGA fans really miss the atmosphere that much? Would they give up the Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, GT game to play us?

We moved conferences and simply don't have a longstanding continuous tradition with one team except Clemson...so try as we might, we will never be viewed as 'rivals' by the majority of SEC teams. They may hate us and desire to beat us, but not 'rivals'.

Well, they sort of border more than 2 states, unlike SC. IF we keep playing them well, and contend for the EAST, EVERY year, we shall become a major rival.

I think we already are, due to the way Georgia flat out got shell shocked, last year, in Columbia.

Never? In 20 years there won't be a Florida, UGA, Tenn fan under the age of 50 that remembers a time when they didn't play us every year, and some that didn't become UGA fans until they went to college will be older than that. If we win more than we lose with them over that time they will consider it a rivalry.

Honestly I'd like another ACC school every year in addition to Clemson... we were a charter member of the ACC and when we joined the SEC in 92 our AD quit scheduling ACC teams except Clemson in the hopes that it would help foster rivalries in the SEC. That didn't work and in my opinion was a mistake.

I'd like to rotate UNC, GT (already scheduled for '21 and '22), NC State and Maryland on a regular basis- although UNC does seem reluctant to play us.

I'll be glad if/when UNC or NC State join the conference as it will give us a natural conference rival that we arguably have never had

We quit scheduling ACC teams because we were now in a conference and had two available non conference slots. The slot that the ACC teams had for us was taken up by FSU, so it was pretty much an easy end to the contracts. We owed NCSU a return game for letting us out a year earlier than we thought, which is why we played them out there in 99, to end the contract on a even home and even away basis.

I don't want to play UNC again. Too much drama about them coming to Columbia. I mean, it's the tar holes...not Southern Cal, Michigan, Ohio State, or any one of about 50 other schools better than them. Their fans are extremely arrogant, and like to talk about not wanting a "One way rivalry" with us...meaning that we think they are a rival, but they don't care about us. Let them do their academic fraud thing while patting themselves on the back for being a "Public Ivy" school......and we will do our thing.

We have not played Maryland since we left the ACC, so there is no reason to start now. There was a lot of bad blood when we left, and I found it so ironic that they were the second team to leave the ACC. They can go play Indiana, Purdue, Slutgers and Ped State.

I don't know if you went to games vs ACC teams when USC was independent, but they were nothing like the SEC games we have now. I think when we play Ga Tech, it will probably be the 4th to 6th most exciting game that we play that year. UNC next year will be after UGA, UF, Arkansas, UT, Clemson, Miss State (maybe) , and..yes...Vandy who will probably be ranked. When we played them up there, we were the top game of their season. There just is no reason to play them to help them out.

The basketball trade off would be a good deal as a home game every other year, both are made for TV events, North v South. Any publicity is good publicity and that would be great publicity in my opinion.

Let unc move their home game to a other site if they want more tickets sales. As far as USC is concerned we should play at home. I don't like the every year in Charlotte. Only way I'd be ok with using Charlotte would be in a 3 year cycle, so play in Columbia then chapel hill then Charlotte and repeat the rotation. I prefer college games on college campuses. I'd rather go to unc for a game than going every year to Charlotte.

Playing the Tar Holes or any other ACC program does nothing for us. We are a SEC team, so we are suppose to win. If they win, then they can trumpet that news everywhere and tell recruits they can beat SEC teams and they can pump up the so called credibility of the ACC. Why do you think they want to get more bowl games to hook up our two conferences? Additional media attention, more butts in the seats, and the chance to knock off a SEC team. If they lose, then for most people that would be a foregone conclusion. It's hard to take something from someone who has nothing to give.

It does nothng in terms of recruiting. We already recruit the state of NC well and we already have the lure of the SEC and being a nearby school for kids in that state.

You never help your enmey and the ACC always was, still is, and will forever remain the enemy. The best revenge is not to play ACC teams, ANY ACC team, in any sport. Ignore them. Let them continue to wither and die. Lack of attention and respect is the best way of doing it.

Didn't play great and the atmosphere was not up to expectations.
