There were so many 3rd strikes called with bats on the shoulders.....I think the last batter for us (can't remember now) watched pitch after pitch without swinging, and then watched 3rd strike hit home. IMO when the game is on the line, we should be widening the zone a bit and swinging for every pitch that's close to the strike box, not watching and hoping for the Ump to bail us out, which looked like a lot of batters did this Saturday. Make the pitcher work a little, and see if we can force him into throwing some pitches we want. That's what the CU batters did often against Holmes...
It's young in the season, and a lot of our guys are young...they are learning as they go. This team should be a much better hitting team later in the season....
